Friday Five: Highest Traffic Days on ChuckTV.net

Have you ever wondered which events brought the most Chuck fans out looking for information? No? Too bad, you’re about to find out anyway! This week’s Friday Five reveals the days ChuckTV.net has seen the most traffic*, and tells you why.

  1. Tuesday, May 26, 2010: The day after the season 3 finale, 19,780 fans came by to read and comment about Chuck.
  2. Tuesday, April 28, 2009: The day after the season 2 finale, and with Chuck season 3 still hanging in the balance, 17,793 people came by to discuss the finale and plead with NBC for another season.
  3. Tuesday, April 6, 2010: Just shy of second place, the day after “Chuck vs. the Other Guy” aired 17,759 fans hit the site to talk about Chuck and Sarah finally getting together and Shaw’s death in the original season 3 finale.
  4. Monday, May 3, 2010: Breaking Tuesday’s hold in the rankings, this day saw 15,511 people visit the site as Chuck fans across the country took part in rallies to support the show and ask for a fourth season.
  5. Tuesday, May 18, 2010: Following the penultimate episode of the season, and the return of Scott Bakula as Papa Bartowski, 15,356 fans stopped by for more information about that episode and the upcoming season finale.

Obviously Tuesdays are our highest traffic days when Chuck is on the air with Mondays coming in second. In case you wondered, we’ve had 2.8 million visitors on the site since we launched in May 2007, increasing every season. Here’s to another blockbuster year with season 4!

*These numbers do not include visitors to the forum.

Updated 08.12.10: We have a surprising new entry on the list. Now at #2 is Monday, August 9, 2010, when 19,198 people stopped by the site. Most checked out the article about Yvonne and Zac winning & presenting at the Teen Choice Awards the night before., but others were looking for information about Chuck season 4. What surprises me the most about this is that the new #2 day happened during hiatus. Makes me wonder what’s going to happen when the show is back on the air!

  1. Well, it’s good to see that the website is gaining viewers even if the show isn’t. Now if we could just tranlate that increase to viewers watching the show.

  2. How about the uproar after “the Mask”? Where did that rank?

  3. Congrats Mel! This site is quite an achievement! Looking forward to next season.

  4. Mel, Gray and Liz- Your dedication and hard work to the cast,
crew and fans of CHUCK is extraordinary. We thank you from
the bottom of our hearts. Keep it up! Love you.

  5. In the Casey treason show, I believe they had Jennifer Garner playing the young woman on the phone to Alex.
Do actors do that for fun?

    • It looks a lot like her, but it isn’t, according to IMDB at least.

They have the part listed as played by a woman by the name of Alexandra Bromstad.

  6. I love seeing stats like this, I don’t know why. It’s like a behind-the-scenes look or something lol. Yes, long live Chuck!

  7. Good to see that kind of numbers during the hiatus….hope it builds up even more steam as we get closer to season four!

  8. I’m suprised you’re suprised. Chuck’s got one hell of a fanbase, and this website is easily the No. 1 for Chuck news. So it makes sense we’re all coming here for information.

Keep up the great work. And congratulations of course, Mel, Liz and Gray!

And with those numbers, someone should let NBC know that if it comes down to Chuck being on the bubble again (but please, not again!), they’ll have trouble dropping the show with this kinda support pulling for more seasons yet again. So I guess, keep up the good work ChuckTV.net and keep it up you some 19,000 Chuck fans!
