In a new interview with SFX Magazine (UK), Zachary Levi looks back at Chuck season 3, the fan campaign for season 4, and kissing Yvonne Strahovski:
SFX: You must be please that Chuck has been confirmed for a fourth season
“Oh sure, I can’t thank the fans enough. Everyone was saying it would happen but you never can tell with the networks. In the time I’ve been in this industry, which is 10 years, I’ve seen crazy things happen. I’ve seen shows picked up and immediately cancelled after they’ve been picked up. Networks can be very fickle.â€
Do you think the fans campaiging actually had an affect, or is it all down to numbers of people watching?
“I’ll tell you what, we’ve got some of the best fans in the world. I mean, our renewal the last two seasons just goes to show you. It’s amazing – when people rally behind something and they wanna fight for something, they go after it and they fight for it. Our fans definitely did. Between buying sandwiches and writing in and all that jazz it really did turn into quite a scenario. Something that you as an actor can only dream about: having a great job but on top of that having a job that people respond to so vehemently. They will fight for you. This year, they did flash-mobs. I don’t even know what a flash-mob is, but it sounds awesome. And they dressed up like us doing it! That’s just crazy.â€

I love Zac’s interviews. He’s always so down-to-earth and honest. He seems like the kind of person who you could just sit down and have a chat with. I wish him all the best!
Nice interview. I can picture him doing the nervous laugh when they ask him about kissing Yvonne. Seems like he chose his words carefully there and left things unsaid. You’d think that when the director yelled cut they’d have to pry him off of her with a crowbar!
There is too much respect between Zach and Yvonne as actors to have issues over kissing. Still it would be interesting for someone to Tweet Zach’s answer to the kissing question to Yvonne and get her response.

Why pry him off her Doctor Bob. Don’t be stupid. I would keep kissing her even after the director said cut. She is damn right Gorgeous. Man so what if she has a boyfriend………
Sounds pretty criticyl for me, but one thing’s true, Chuck’s a show where you have to start from the very beginning, particularly in Season 3!

Wow, y’all are getting really close to crossing over into inappropriateness with this kissing talk. They’re professionals, they’re not dating, the end. I’m more interested in what Zac says about how the network handled season 3.

All these comments on the internet about Yvonne and her boyfriend are really crossing the border. Of course, it would be funny, if Zach and Yvonne would be together (would it be good for the show? ), but people have actually started to offend her and things that she’s doing in her private life! It’s impossible to watch an interview on Youtube, without reading all these insults directed at her and her boyfriend and then it gets very disgusting, when people start writing about their secret fantasies or wahtever. So if you’re one of them, please stop, it’s horrible, I can only hope that most Chuck-fans understand my opinion and will also write similar comments on those videos or even here!
