It would appear that Chuck fans are out of luck with their number 1 pick for who should play Mama Bartowski. The casting suggestions have been overwhelmingly in favor of Wonder Woman Lynda Carter for the role, despite Josh Schwartz’s comments that she isn’t who they have in mind. Now it looks like Carter has taken herself out of the equation: she’s headed to London’s West End in September to perform on stage in support of her album, At Last.
True, conceivably she could squeeze in a couple of episodes prior to that gig, but her focus seems to be on her music right now, so let’s not hold our breath.

I agree that Lynda Carter would be perfect for the part.She has often said that she still wants to act and a 2 day gig isn’t enough to keep her from doing this show.So yes I’m still holding my breath!
She has bright blue eyes, very un-Bartowski. Never could see it despite her immense talent. Throw a blonde wig on her and she could be Sarah’s mom.
I keep telling people the dark horse candidate is Alberta Watson. Watson played Madeleine on the USA Network’s La Femme Nikita. She’s the right age, has the right looks, and she’s got the right background.
