Yvonne Strahovski has spent the last couple of months in Melbourne, Australia, working on the film The Killer Elite. She shot scenes with Robert DeNiro recently, which the Australian newspapers photographed. The first two photos come from the Herald Sun; the third is from the Sydney Morning Herald. Yvonne will finish work on the film this week so she can return to the United States to begin filming season 4 of Chuck and Comic Con next week.

These photos were taken in Melbourne CBD last week. They were recreating Paris, so there were loads of late 70’s French cars around the place. Appropriate really, because the part of town they were filming in is known locally as the “Paris End” of Melbourne because of the architecture.
They were filming all over the city, and last Saturday they closed off one of the underground stations and filmed in there for most of the night. I will admit that I wandered along hoping to do some celeb spotting but no luck! Although I do know someone who stumbled out of a bar at 2am and walked straight into Yvonne and Jason Statham filming in one of the city laneways.
Hopefully the film is a huge hit and will help launch Yvonne. Statham’s action movies aren’t really my thing, and De Niro’s hit rate nowadays is about one decent movie every 5 years – but fingers crossed!
Can’t wait for the movie to be released. My two favorite actors are in it, Yvonne of course and Jason Statham. Should be Killer!

I hope it is a hit–the few movies I have seen Yvonne in I have not cared for, although I did enjoy the part of the Canyon where she kills her husband so he will not be eaten alive by wolves and then 5 minutes later the rescue helicopter shows up–it wan an oopsy!! I would like for her to gain some leverage so she can have her pick of good scripts-beauty is fleeting so I think she should try to get some experience behind the camera writing, producing or directing. I understand she is a pretty sharp young lady. Maybe Chuck should give her a try–if she wants it.
Yvonne has a background in writing. She wrote for the Australian stage some years back. Schwartz and Fedak should let her at least co-write with one of their experienced TV writers.
