We have a couple of spoilers for you this morning. First, from Matt Mittovich at Fancast, we get some confirmation on the stability of the Chuck/Sarah relationship:
Q: Enough about the stunt casting on ‘Chuck,’ as fun as it might be. What’s going on with Chuck and Sarah this season?
A: Acknowledging that Chuck/Sarah are “the heart of the show,†exec producer Chris Fedak tells me that their romance is now “obstacle-free in the sense that were not doing the ‘Will they/Won’t they’ thing. But in every relationship, there are going to be issues.†And the hot topic for Chuck and his chica? She’s still in the spy game, while he is jobless, and that weighs heavily on Chuck as he charts their future. “There’s always an interpersonal story for those two,†says Fedak.
Next comes this delicious tidbit from Yvonne Strahovski herself who Tweeted the following late last week:
Having a stand off, gun in each others face type thing, with Linda Hamilton right now 🙂
She was filming episode 4.06, “Chuck vs. the Aisle of Terror”, which means we’ll see this season on October 25. Can. Not. Wait.
Wow, a stand off with Mama B? in the Halloween episode. Tight. I can’t wait.
Talk about conflict. Two important women in Chuck’s life who are pointing guns at each other. Hopefully they can work things out before they become mother-in-law and daughter-in-law!
I’m thinking that since this is the episode where Freddy Kreuger is coming in (correct?) and he will be able to make Chuck’s life a waking nightmare, wouldn’t Chuck’s ultimate fear be that two of the most important people to him had to fight each other? This could all be one giant hallucination. Or it could be real. Either way, it will undoubtedly be AWESOME!
Chuck’s ultimate fear would be the introduction of Freddie Krueger as a PLI for Sarah.

Sounds just like me and my mother-in-law.
Well, the first part is certainly good news. Seems like they’ve finally learned how to do things right. As for Sarah and Mama B with the guns, either Mama B’s a bad guy or maybe it’s one of those things where Sarah first meets her on a mission and doesn’t know/realize who she is. Whatever the context is, that will be awesome. Really looking forward to it.
I think they probably will be seing each other for the first time, and perhaps Sarah will be wearing the lucky-charm bracelet that belonged to Mama B. So when Sarah points the gun at her she will be able to see the bracelet and freak out a little bit.
That would be an awesome way for them to meet and find out who each other are.
I also think Sarah doesn’t know who Mama B is, and even Mama B might not kwno who Sarah is.
I think she sees Sarah’s lucky-charm bracelet during this stand off and then realizes she is close to Chuck.
That would be a really great way for them to meet.
Can’t wait!!
Ive got a feeling the standoff is going to be simply a lack of trust kinda like the sarah/casey feud in versus the helicopter remember his dad was paranoid his mom is probably is even more so

Good old Monday night- rating hell.
It would kinda neat if Mama B knows exactly who Sarah is , her history with fellow agents especially her realtionship with Papa B’s killer and does not want her anywhere near her son.
She could then give Sarah an ultimatum, saying that the only reason she’s not killing her is that it’s too soon after Papa B’s death and that she’ll give Sarah 6 months to get her act together (get therapy , etc) or she’ll kill her .
I think Mama B has real potential to be the mother in law from hell for Sarah.
I like your take ladycat. There are few who love Chuck that will admit that Sarah is crazy and not many sane people would want her with their loved one. Maybe Mama B’s perspective can work. I don’t want Mama b to kill her but Sarah’s got to show some remorse and contrition.
Hypothesis Nr. 1:
I think when they meet Sarah doesn’t know who Mama B is, and even Mama B might not know who Sarah is.

That would be a really great way for them to meet.
Is there a chance Chuck was captured by Doctor Stanley “Freddie Kruger†Wheelwright, so that the evil doctor can use his techniques on Chuck (so that his life would turn into a waking nightmare) and both Sarah and Mama B try to rescue him and meet this way? I am assuming Mama B escapes on episode 4.01 during her “transfer†(they had to move her, remember?), based on the scenes of Linda Hamilton kicking ass and killing bad guys on one of the promos. She could be free and looking for her family.
So, if Mama B and Sarah meet while both are trying to rescue Chuck from Freddie Kruger, they have a brief standoff until Mama B sees Sarah’s charm bracelet and realizes what is happening. That would be epic!!
Hypothesis Nr. 2:
Or … since this will be a Halloween themed episode, in which nightmares play an important role, perhaps the standoff happens only in Chuck’s dreams?
It would be an image to the conflict in his head in case he hasn’t told Sarah about his search for his mom, so that he would be divided between the “secret search for Mama B†and a “mature honest relationship with Sarahâ€. Anyhow, I think he will tell Sarah about his search, since we saw them talking about Mama B having been captured (instead of abandoning her family) in one of the promos…
