We got a deeper look at Sarah’s past this week in Chuck vs. the Cat Squad, written by Nicholas Wootton. Mini Anden‘s Carina was back, Lou Diamond Phillips played a great villain, and we got a solid Charlie’s Angels vibe, harkening back to Chuck 315’s Hart to Hart theme,
While it was a lot of fun, the episode wasn’t universally enjoyed by all the fans, and we talk about a lot of the reasons why, plus what there was to like, and also some interesting speculations regarding a prediction made by MamaB in episode 401.

One of my favorite podcasts. There is a balance that always has be drawn. If all we talk about is what we didn’t like, people quickly get the impression that we don’t like the show any more. On the other hand, if we’re afraid to say that we didn’t like something, we quickly sound like pollyanna water carriers. And I think that balance was acheived very well here.
My own feeling was that I enjoyed the episode, but that too much was crammed in. I wanted to see Chuck interact with Sarah’s friends more and get their seal (maybe grudging) of approval. I could have lived without the bad guy of the week plot, which I didn’t believe and felt rushed.
