TV Squad just broke the news Chuck fans have been hoping to hear: Gary Cole is confirmed to return as Sarah’s father, Jack Burton! He’ll return in episode 4.21, “Chuck vs. the Wedding Planner”, per Chris Fedak:
“We have a con at the heart of the [Jack] episode,” Fedak said in an interview. “There are actually multiple cons. We definitely put Chuck and Sarah out there — they could potentially get into a lot of trouble,” given that they are government employees and that Jack has spent his life flouting the law. Getting mixed up with Jack again will prove to be a challenge for the duo, personally and professionally.
Fedak was also asked about whether we’ll see Mama Walker (or Burton or whatever her name is) on the show, but he didn’t “want to make any promises” about that happening this season. Read more from Fedak about tonight’s episode, Vivian’s storyline, and a Chuck/Sarah wedding at TV Squad.

Yes! I’ve been hoping Gary Cole would return. I hope he stays for the wedding to walk Sarah down the aisle. My heart broke when she told Chuck she didn’t have anyone to do that.
Along with that announcement it is stated that episode 21, Chuck versus The Wedding Planner will air on April 25th. So there is going to be several weeks absent of Chuck, if the math is going to have episode 21 airing at the very end of April.
As expected, given that there are at least 3 more Mondays remaining in the TV season than there are episodes of Chuck (counting tonight).

Matthew, next week (March 7th), NBC is reintroducing The Event with a two hour special, so no Chuck next week. Not sure about the other two dates, though.
Yes! I’ve been hoping for his return all season. Having Carina and Roan come back was nice, but Jack Burton returning will be awesome. I would expect him to be in multiple episodes, assuming the plans are for him to walk Sarah down the aisle in the wedding, which again I assume is the season finale.

Gary Cole did a great job last time he was on the show. Inspite of him being a stinker Sarah showed she still loved him—rightfully did not trust him but still loved her dad. I thought he might surprise her and show up to give her away at the wedding—-assuming we get a wedding this season.
what if sarahs mum is rich and one of papa burtons con victims.
gary was awesome in delorean however if hes in this does that mean he wont be in the wedding episode.
