EW.com just broke the news that Rebecca Romijn has signed on to guest star in Chuck episode 5.06 (title TBA), and her role is part of a storyline some fans have been speculating about since Chuck and Sarah started their own espionage firm.
Per EW, Romijn guests as “Robin Cunnings, an elite Special Agent with the CIA who’s as cold and calculating as she is sexy, and is known for her barbaric (yet highly effective) interrogation techniques.” Cunnings is part of a rogue CIA group targeting Chuck to take the fall for “the crime of the century.” Dun dun dunnnnnnn!
Fun fact: Rebecca was on the TV Guide What’s Hot Panel with Zachary Levi at Comic Con 2009.

Nope, as noted in the post, they were on the TV Guide What’s Hot panel together in 2009.
There appears to be a strong connection between Chuck and former SI cover models. First, Brooklyn Decker (loved the Chuck/Morgan face slaps) and now Rebecca Romijn. Also, Jordana Brewster is the daughter of a former SI cover model.
Hm… Rebecca Romijn plays a bad, and bad ass, spy going after Chuck. I am so very excited about the possibilities of a fight scene between Yvonne and Rebecca.

Rebecca Romjin is the 2nd X-Men Alum to appear on Chuck after Vinnie Jones.
I would like to see too things happen – 1) Sarah training Chuck in Martial Arts so he can handle himself in the field – like in S3 vs The Three Little Words, but they’re having fun with it – maybe Chuck starts to remember some of the moves. 2) A Mission Impossible style episode could be fun.
I just don’t want to see Chuck Regress to being unsure of himself!
