Chuck is known for it’s pop culture references, from spy shows to geek gadgets to Star Wars. Lots and lots of Star Wars. But did you know that Chuck is becoming a pop culture reference of its own? Here are five that I’ve found:
- Entourage – In a recent episode of HBO’s series, titled “Second to Last” because it was the second to last episode of the final season, Johnny Drama is interested in a script, but the writer “saw Zac Levi from Chuck” in the role. (Watch the clip.)
- Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? – Chuck was part of a question on the syndicated game show last year.
- MAD – The comedy geniuses over at MAD magazine spoofed Chuck with their animated short, “Duck”. Nice twist at the end. (Watch the video.)
- Jeopardy! – Back in its first season, Chuck was the question for an answer on the iconic game show. Da da da da, da da da da…
- The Daily Show – During the first fan campaign to renew Chuck, back in 2009, Jon Stewart referenced the campaign in context of torture and Nancy Pelosi. Yeah, just watch the clip.
Have you noticed any other Chuck references?
Jeopardy had another Chuck question this past season involving Yvonne. 🙂
well it’s not a TV show but there was a reference on transformers during scott krinsky’s scene…
Weird, I was actually just reading the imdb page about this last night…
