The DVR numbers for the week Chuck premiered were released today, and Chuck got a nice boost in overall viewers and in the demo. In total viewers, Chuck saw a 35% gain from 3.42 million t0 4.61 million. In the advertiser friendly 18-49 demo, Chuck‘s number increased 60%, from a 1.0 to a 1.6 rating.
These increases factor in the “delayed viewing” numbers from viewers who watched the episode on their DVR within 7 days of the October 28 airdate. While the +7 numbers aren’t given as much weight as same day or even +3 ratings, networks are using them to get a clearer idea of viewing habits.
I knew it! I knew more people were watching Chuck! Technically, that’s more than that of “Chuck vs the Cliffhanger,” which drew in 4.47 million viewers!
Pay attention NBC! Give us those back 9 eps!…just sayin’
great! I knew it the rating will boost !good job!
by the way ,do you think if we hold ‘save chuck’ again and be
so so successful ,can we get another season or add eps ??
No, this is the final season. Let’s let them finish it up the way that they want to instead of dragging it out indefinitely.
Chuck vs. the Cliffhanger had more than 4.47 when its Live + 7 viewers were counted.
It’s been announced over and over and over; It’s over after 13. They just released the Finale title; “CHUCK vs. The Goodbye. Let’s just enjoy the excellent season NBC gave us as a parting gift.
i got it .let’s just enjoy the last episodes. Hope the ratings will boost up !
It ain’t over ’til the fat lady sings…Oh wait that was in season 2. Anything could happen, but sadly I think this is it for Chuck.
Seems obvious that Friday night shows would get a boost from DVR viewership. With the weekend, it also seems obvious that the +3 ratings wouldn’t pick up as much as for a show that airs earlier in the week. Anyone know if the +7 boost is above normal, normal, or below normal for a Friday night show?
Ratings don’t matter anymore. Chuck’s future is set in stone. It won’t get canceled and there won’t be a back nine (rest of NBC’s lineup didn’t tank enough). They probably only have two to four weeks of production left.
According to our sources, production ends December 7, so we’ll be getting the final episodes not long after the cast and crew wrap.
When i did the warner brothers tour last week, our guide said that production wraps on the 7th too. Im sad about that but at least we got S5!!!
Even though this is definitely the last season for Chuck there may still be hope. Didn’t Robert Duncan McNiell say in the podcast that he could easily see Chuck return in other formats ( TV Movie, Special, etc…)?
Awesome ratings news.
And. . .(I know Mel, a subject that has been talked about a lot without resolution yet) if they had the episodes online they would see that even more people are watching Chuck than what they have now!. . .sigh
f yea,,!! haha,, sorry i just had to do it,
anyways.. i hope they may push back the ending.. i’m not asking for another season cause it would be too much, but at least with a longer season, it would make better sense seeing that they are OBVIOUSLY rushing the plot from each episode to the next episode… the progression is just way way WAY too fast… sigh… i will miss chuck for sure… X\'(
I hope the powers that be give us the back 9! Chuck DVD, Chuck Movie??????
PLEASE SAVE CHUCK! it’s the only tv series i watch because it is so interesting!!! please have season 6….
Please continue.. Don’t finish, Chuck is the best tv series. I want to see it for 10 seasons !
