  1. Wait a minute! I got it! It’s Rosemary’s baby!

  2. But how could Shaw have put this “in motion”? No scenarios on here seem very consistant with that.

    • The only thing that makes sense to me by him “putting things in motion” would be him revealing this secret about her to someone, or arranging for something to happen.

  3. seriously, i really wanna believe that the baby isnt sarah’s… lets face it, her baby has to be chucks baby too… unfortunally i dont c how could her mother take care of someone elses baby just cuz sarah “asked”

btw, she had the same hair as when she kill evelyn shaw! But i dont think its shaw’s baby

  4. just correcting
    *killed

  5. OMG!!!! I can’t wait for this episode!!! I don’t want the baby to be Sarah’s though, that would just be too much. I want Chuck and Sarah to have a baby of their own!!!! 🙂

  6. I think it’s Sarah’s but not Chucks.

This is what some else thinks [NOT MY COMMENT i just think its a reasonable answer] :
PEOPLE it’s not Chuck’s, Shaw’s. Shaw said: I know every mission, every secret.’ Then Sarah looked scared and Shaw said something about 2004. So the baby must be 7 know. And she has it from a mission, and mistaked that she killed the parents, because she killed them. And felt really bad and responsible and decided to keep the baby and raise it.
APSUNSH1NE <<<=== This is the person. YouTube

    • yeah I agree with this one, which is why she was protecting it, or maybe the parents were killed and she was supposed to protect them, why in the promo there is a big guy who has clearly been looking for her, ‘you’ve kept her safe for so long’… ALSO with @naty’s comment…the fact sarah was assigned to kill evelyn shaw shows a conspiracy in the CIA, same reason she had to protect a baby due to this ‘botch up?’ just a theory but, wow what a story, hope the intensity carries on from this weeks amazing episode

  7. I don’t want to believe it’s Sarahs, but I think it is. At first when Shaw mentioned it I thought it was his and Sarahs, but the timing wouldn’t make sense. After thinking about what he said, it’s probably Sarah’s and Bryce’s baby.

  8. OOOOOOOOMMMMGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t know what to think!!!!!! my first guess would be that it’s sarah’s BUT if there’s one thing I’ve learned from tv shows is that the mos obvious answer almost never is the correct one! so I don’t think it’s sarah’s nut OMGGGG what a twist!!! can’t stop using !!!!! from the excitement!!!!!!

  9. It’s probably Carina’s. Remember Sarah had to save Carina in a mission in Hungary at some point before she met Chuck? At least I think I remember something about Carina and Hungary.

  10. It’s an alien baby, from planet Shwartz of the Fedak galaxy, sent from the future to save buymoria, from Zurg a renegade agent of Beckmina, a race of minature female amazonians. Well maybe not?

  11. I am thinking it is Chuck’s. Shaw had Sarah hide the baby (Jill or Hannah is the mother) from Chuck so he would not get distracted from being the Intersect. Now Shaw is threatening to tell Chuck to destroy Chuck’s and Sarah’s marriage.

    • It’s not Chuck’s. This happened in 2006, Sarah didn’t met Chuck until later, can’t be his.

    • Yeah, I think it’s Chuck’s! It makes the most sense.

Back in 2006, Chuck WAS acting different than now. He was hiding something! I see it now! This is gonna be awesome next week!

  12. I hope it’s not Sarah’s baby, if it is how can she keep a secret this big from Chuck, they made agreement with each other of no secrets or lying to each other. A secret this big how can Chuck ever forgive Sarah?

  13. I think it’s Sarah’s little sister. There was something wrong with Sarah’s first handler i think and maybe he tried to use her mother or something to manipulate Sarah. (maybe the child was her handlers and her moms) And somehow Sarah had to protect the baby, and then she gave it back to her mom and said they could never see each other again (for their safety). But maybe now Shaw leaked Sarah’s mom’s whereabouts to her old handler and he want to hurt her.
When he says “you came so close to actually protecting her” i think he means her mom.
Anyways, that’s the only logical solution i could think of why Sarah could not tell Chuck about it and keep it secret (to protect her mom and little sister)

    • Isn’t Sarah’s mom a little too old to have had a baby 5 years ago? I mean, Sarah is around 30, even if her mother had her in her 20s, she must be over 50. I don’t know, it seems a little too far-fetched.

      • Sarah was born in 1982 (according to Wikia) so she is 29 now. Dont forget that it was like 7 years ago, so her mom could have been about 42-43 when she got pregnant so its totally possible. Btw its not unusual for women to get pregnant at age 50, its less likely but still not unheard of. In the Western world, the most typical age range for menopause (last period from natural causes) is between the ages of 40 and 61 and the average age for last period is 51 years.

  14. The baby is not Sarah´s. Cmon do you aunestly belive that anyone COULD hide being pregnant for nine months?? And in that situation Sarah was working in the CIA. Sarah joined CIA after her father got arrested for the first time, she was like 18 years old or so? (S02E04). And also that would be huge disappointment for the fans, so we can forget this option.

    Bruce´s – Nope. Cant be.

And the child also is not connected with Casey, because at the beginning of series Chuck Sarah didnt stand Casey at all, she like hated him.

Child couldnt also be connected to Shaw aswell. Sarah first met Shaw in season three.

Sarah´s sister – In season 1 there was an episode, where Sarah talked about sunburn and HER sister (S01E04). So, no.

Volkoff and Mama B – Volkoff loved Mama B in some twisted way, and its hard to belive that he/she could give the baby to the CIA.

Chucks Dad and Moms – Nope. Many many many many many reasons, why it is impossible. (Big picture – Mama B left Chuck and went undercover for quite long time).

Baby isnt Chucks. I can bring up a tosin reasons, why, but I hope everyone allready know them.

Catsquad “timeline” and members – Nope.

The Carina´s idea sounds quite good (After the catsquad time) . Check out Chuck versus the wookiee (S01E04), why is that. Yea, i know.. Pakistan and Argentina. Carina is Sarahs best friend. Lots of memories, lots of favours.

Some stangers child, whose parents Sarah has killed – Quite good (Check out promos final quote).. But Sarah was a cold blooded killer before Chucks time. But still Im betting on that.

Im looking foward to this episode. We can finally get to know Sarahs REAL NAME. Is is Jenny, Sarah, Lisa (should be her middle name, but who knows), or something else.

And the big relationship bump – Chuck and Sarah are not splitting up, so it can only mean one thing – The talk about starting a family. In the next episode they are thing about Carmichael industries future, so it fits.

  15. It would be the dumbest thing on earth if this baby was her’s. my money is on it being her younger sister.

  16. I share truth’s opinion : its just Sarah’s sis.
Merry Christmas to all of you 😉

    • Seriously people think that the baby is the sister refereed to in Vs the Wookie? It is unbelievable Sarah said she was 9 and on a family vacation when she got sunburn with her sister. She was born in 1982 so that would be 1991 but this baby was from Hungary 2004.
      Do the math!

  17. Sarah DID say she had a sister that she went to the beach with in one of the episodes with the couple’s trivia night. While it was for her cover maybe it was partially true, too?

  18. & would it be possibly related to Bryce?

  19. The baby is not Sarah’s. Likely it was her target’s baby and she couldn’t bring herself to kill the infant too or it’s someone she was supposed to protect and failed. Why her former handler wants to hurt the baby is the real question.

    • Sticking with the theory it was a baby of Sarah’s spy targets, the baby perhaps inherits the fortune and empire of the bad guys Sarah was ordered to whack. Sarah’s former handler may believe the mission isn’t over till this entire family is whacked. So Sarah said it was killed but out a momentary streak of kindness allowed it to live and handed it to her mom for safe keeping.

      MINOR SPOILER>>>>>>>>

Still wondering why Sarah and her Mom don’t talk. I’m sure that will be explained in the next episode or two when we are introduced to her. Perhaps her mom told her to quit the spy business over the baby issue. Sarah didn’t see it that way.

    • I completely agree with that it was part of a family she was supposed to kill but she was succesful with the father but could not bring herself to kill a small baby. Maybe it was not supposed to be there or even she was not told that there was a baby when she was briefed. T
The Cia told her to kill Eve with just a photo and a place and time so does seem that they did not give all the information she would need.

  20. I put other too. I am guessing the most important ? is what is special about the baby that needs protecting? I am guessing the baby to be part of some special intersect project that the season’s big bad ran. Heroic, kind hearted Sarah rescued the baby and gave it to her mom to raise safely. If this is true, the parents of the baby could be unknown, and part of the season 5 mystery.

That leaves some pretty cool choices for mom and dad, I can think of three women’s eggs that would make excellent genetic material to start an intersect project with for example, none of the 3 might even know about the baby’s origin, even if they knew about the project? The choices for men would be equally epic. How cool would it be if we find out the mom and dad are Orion and Frost? Or Chuck and Sarah? Or Ellie and the Big Bad? This story was told on Alias, but Sydney stopped it b4 it could get going, the mom being Sydney and the dad being Rambaldi’s DNA?

  21. i thininkg it’s have not Sarah! Baby ,sister of sarah

  22. Sarah´s baby – Impossible
Rosemary´s baby – No opinion, but unlikely
Chuck´s baby – Distraction is a good idea, but NO.
    Shaw´ – Impossible
    Bryce´s – Hardly, rather impossible
    Casey´s – Impossible
    Ilsa´s – Impossible (Unrelated)
Eve and Shaw´s – Impossible (Unrelated)
Mama and Daddy B – Impossible
    Mama B and Volkoff – Impossible (Undercover…)
    Carina´s – Hardly
    Ellie´s – Impossible (HA)
    C. Awsome´s – Impossible (HA)
Morgan´s – Dont flatter yourself (LOL)
Sarah´s sister – Impossible (Season 1, Sarah and her sister got sunburn.. )
Some experiment´s product – Highly impossible (S01E01 Sarah´s expression finding out Chuck is a living intersect)
    An orphan – Possible

    Ideas from me – None

If you need to ask why, then you arent series “Chuck” true/commited fan, and need to rewatch all the episodes from scratch.

    • The sister quote from season 1 doesn’t have much bearing since a lot of what she told Ellie/Morgan/Awesome was to protect her cover at the time. It could be that she doesn’t have a sister at all, it was simply something to say to help her contribute to the game instead of saying “Yeah I’m a spy, thats pretty dangerous.” I’m not fully endorsing the idea that the baby is Sarah’s sister, but its also wrong to commit it to impossibility based on that one thing Sarah said.

Personally I’m siding with the idea that its a baby she rescued from some past mission, although I’m clueless as to how the baby has some significance to warrent Sarah protecting her mother. Can’t wait for the episode!

    • no you don’t have to watch every episode

  23. i have this horrid feeling that this is the writers way of giving Chuck and Sarah an insta-family – so that by the end of the series they have a kid without sarah having to be pregnant. Babies are awesome – but the whole insta-family thing is pretty ordinary way to go with the story.

  24. Sarah’s first name is Sam. Samantha most likely.

  25. me and some friends reckon it has something to do with Clara but there are so many possibilities.

  26. Really scared about this episode. I really hope it´s not sarahs. I have first so high expectations for this episode when I read the name of the episode because i was hoping Sarah & Chuck to have a baby. But maybe I´m surprised because x-mas episode was so much better than I expected and those kisses weren´t so bad after all 😉

  27. Hi All,

Watched the promo for baby and it looks Awsome!! Was thinking about the fact that Sarah didn’t tell Chuck her Secert and Chuck’s reaction to it!! Then I saw Ryker(Sarah’s old handler) kicking her ass — I hope Chuck arrives unanounced and saves her – telling her that he Flashed on her when he uploaded the 2.0 at some point – (maybe he flashed on Sarah’s car) and he knew about the baby but out of respect for Sarah and the baby he kept it to himself and he figured that she would tell him when she was ready. This would prove to Sarah that Chuck was the right choice for her. Maybe this proves to Sarah’s Mom that Sarah made right decision about her husband!

What do people think of that Idea?

    • “This would prove to Sarah that Chuck was the right choice for her. ”

Err… that would be contrived and absolutely not necessary. Sarah already knows that.

      • Hey All,

If Sarah already knows that Chuck is the right choice for her why has she kept this Secert? I think Sarah is being a bit of a hipacrit considering Anneversery ( I know its spelt wrong!) when she challenged Chuck about keeping his search from her – I think she said “new rule no secerts no lies starting now” I really hope Chuck bring that up if he challenges her on it!!

It should be a great episode — Can’t wait!!

    • I like the idea Chuck had already flashed on this and knew about it. Since Shaw was able to put 2 and 2 together with his Intersect and figure this out, it stands to reason Chuck also did and was waiting for Sarah to bring it up when she was ready. People in the NSA and CIA wouldn’t have had the dual intel to piece it together like Shaw and Chuck could have. If we assume this is Sarah’s baby which I’m not 100% supporting yet.

  28. Hey Mel,
I was wondering since this is supposed to be an “epic Sarah-centric” episode, why not do a list of all our favorite Sarah episodes? The ones which slowly revealed her character and stuff?
I know I love Chuck vs The DeLorean and Chuck vs the Wedding Planner and Chuck vs the Cougars!

  29. The scope for the “no secrets no lies” rule in the anniversary was their current relationship, not the things they have done in the past before they met. Chuck has accepted the fact that Sarah has a dark past as the “Langston Graham’s wildcard enforcerer” with disturbing and dangerous secrets that could bring down governments and get people killed if ever revealed.

  30. Weighing in on this…

My “hope” is the writers would create a story based on something horrible Agent Walker did during a mission years ago before meeting Chuck. The baby was discovered after Walker neutralized the targets (the baby’s mom and dad / spies). She hands the baby off to her mom over the guilt and senseless killing she had done under orders. This creates a similar present day scenario with Ellie/Awesome and Chuck/Sarah over the dangers of being spies and having children as a tie in.

More likely scenario is the writers will say this is Sarah’s baby from a Larkin fling or some other fling. Casey said it best, “You [Sarah] fall for the guys you work with, first Larkin now our boy Chuck.” Really hoping, hoping she didn’t fling with her former handler – lol. If so, well, Chuck is going to have a lot to consider about his relationship with her if she’s keeping a secret that BIG. What other secrets is she hiding.

    • The only thing i don’t understand, if this baby is an assests baby why would Sarah give the baby to her Mom, and endangering her life as well?

    • I suppose that’s one of the reasons why so many fans are so worried about this episode..

If the writers are not careful and smart, we could see a big character assassination (of Sarah) in this episode.

Even if the baby is not Sarah’s (I’m quite sure myself it isn’t), there are still multiple ugly scenarios and ways to really damage the character with this storyline.

  31. gqdaddy I hope your first thought is right. If they make this Sarah and Larking baby then the whole character of Sarah Walker is ruined for me. I really hate the show runners and this is how they repay fans by spiting in our faces. No if it her baby then i going to write a hate letter to Josh and Chris

    • I don’t really hate the showrunners, the only HUGE mis-step imo has been “Pink Slip” and the episodes that followed it until the “Other Guy”.

    • Curtis, if you hate the showrunners and their show so much, then please feel free to stop watching. No point in wasting your time on something you hate.

    • Curtis, don’t hate the show runners. They’ve always managed a pay-off. Sometimes as fans we have painfully endured hardships… “season cough cough 3 cough cough” but we get that pay-off and it makes it all worth while. Often these lead to epic moments in the show’s history and we’re building up to an emotional finale. Wrenches can and will be used along the way.

We’re running high on adrenaline right now knowing we’re close to the end, use that adrenaline my friend to enjoy the final ride… don’t let it use you and rob you of enjoying this to the end.

      Just my 2 cents.

  32. Here’s my guess.

Sarah was sent by her first CIA handler on a mission to Hungary to kill a family, but after she did, she discovered they had a baby. She couldn’t kill the baby, so she took it to her mom to keep and then told her handler that the baby was dead also. She told her mom they can’t see each other again to protect her and the baby. That’s why Sarah always told Chuck she and her mom were estranged.

Shaw discovered the baby through an intersect flash. His Plan in Motion was notifying Sarah’s old handler the baby was alive. So, Sarah has to rush to her mom to get them out of harm’s way.

What I can’t understand, is why she doesn’t feel she can tell Chuck.

    • I agree Gambs with your assessment. But I also think she told her mom that it was her baby when it really wasn’t. I think the baby might be the last of some type of important liniage and people in Hungary want that liniage wiped out. So Sarah doesn’t want anyone to know where the baby came from, including her mom, so she told her mom it was hers to keep it safe. If her mom thought it was her granddaughter she was more likely to raise it. That’s also why she hasn’t told Chuck because Chuck would want to take care of the baby if he thought it was Sarah’s. That’s just the way he is.

  33. Couldn’t the baby be from a possible target that Sarah killed? Maybe she took someone out and found the kid.

  34. My guess is:Sarah found out her handler was a double agent, he comes after her but kills her sister instead. Sarah can’t save her sister but does saver her niece. Takes her to her mother and her mom and niece go in witness protection. So there is noway they can be found and would also explain why she can’t tell Chuck. I’m probably dead wrong but first theory that made sense. The writers may have a different twist in mind.

  35. Ummm… “This video has been removed because… ” is up in the place where the promo video is located. So…. wing it on the poll now?

  36. Mel i could never hate this show. I just hate the show runners if they make that Sarah baby. Will I still watch yes. But i wont like it and I think i got a right to give my opinion. Mel i never said I hated this show and i never will.

    • Then you might want to rephrase statements like this: “I really hate the show runners and this is how they repay fans by spiting in our faces. No if it her baby then i going to write a hate letter to Josh and Chris”. We don’t tolerate spewing hatred on this site.

  37. This reminds me of the short lived series The Event on NBC from last year in one of the episodes in which the ex CIA agent when she was active was tasked to exterminate a family in which she kills the husband & wife only to find an infant upstairs in a crib. She hides the infant from her handler and eventually hides it with her mother for his safety.

I think the same thing is playing out here with Sarah.

So no to it being Sarah’s baby and it sets up the start of Chuck & Sarah’s family.

  38. I apologize then Mel. I mainly was just ranting and basically I will be very upset if the baby turns out to be Sarah. I sorry for the strong words.

  39. Well I think that that Sarah was told to assinate some bad guy, she does the deed but then hears baby crying, she rescues the baby but tells her handler that she killed it somehow. This is probably shortly after she killed Eve so she is not the lethal enforcer she is later in her CIA life (it could be the reason why she is known as one as killing a baby is seriously wrong)
She has obvioulsy put the baby with her mum but she proabably told her what happened and about being an agent. I do not think she told her mum it was hers.
As to the other question re why she did not tell Chuck. I think there are two reasons a)b Chuck is not pushy and does not need/want to know. When in Cougars she offers him the chance to ask one question he says he does not need to know about who she was as he knows who she is now. Secondly guilt, if she tells him she would have to tell him everything about killing and possibly seducing some. I think she would feel ashamed of it and worried about how he took that infomation.
I really hope that they dont have them brush her real name under the rug, although I dont like Sam i think her mum should call her that but want Sarah to tell her mum that her name is Sarah. But i do want Chuck to know all her birth name, would also love that she did have a sister as it would mean that she was honest with the Bartowskis with that story.

  40. i don’t the baby is Sarah’s and Shaw because when Sarah and Shaw broke up Sarah had been together with Chuck and we didn’t see her get pregnant when they we’re together with either Shaw nor Chuck./

  41. AAAAAAAAGGGG!!!!!! I can’t watch the promo!!!!

  42. Here’s the promo.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsEZHhTHrAw&feature=youtube_gdata_player

  43. the baby cant be sarahs because it looks like only about 1 and a year ago sarah was with chuck also unless it is sarahs mums baby it cant be the sister she mentioned in season 1 because they were 9 on a beach before the baby was borne and it wont be a mission before she met chuck because that was over 5 years ago now and as i said the baby looks no more than 1 years old but theres my views at the moment.

  44. Come on, gang. Put the clues together. In Santa Suit, Shaw told Sarah that he knew everything about her-all her past missions. He even mentioned “Calgary” and that was how she got a scar on her left arm from trying to catch a throwing star.

So, in the final scene, he says what will keep him warm at nights in solitary confinement was how he set the plan in motion that she could not stop. Then, he asked her, “Do you remember Hungary? Does Chuck know about the baby?”

Hungary was a previous mission. She was sent there by her first handler, Ryker (played by Tim Dekay this week.) Her mission was to kill some important family. The scene you see in the preview where Sarah is firing machine guns with both hands while walking down steps is from that mission. She is supposed to kill the entire family, but she can’t kill the baby.

So, she takes the baby to her mother. She stays for a few days with it, but she has to get back to the CIA, so she tells her mom that she can’t see them anymore. She does it to protect both her mom and the baby. That’s why she always told Chuck that she and her mom were estranged, and I guess that’s why she can’t tell Chuck about it now, because he’ll wonder why she lied all this time to him, after she always told him to trust her.

The plan Shaw put in motion is notifying Ryker the baby is still alive.

But, it’s not Sarah’s child. It belongs to the Hungarian family she was sent to kill.

    • Yep… this fits nicely with my theory about Sarah killing all but the baby on a past mission. Friday will tell us a bit more but I think Gambs, you’ve put together the suspected plot for this upcoming episode. If so, nicely done. Got an intersect up there my friend? lol 🙂

  45. After reading all the comments, I have one question:
why would the CIA want to kill Sarah’s baby (supposing that it is hers)? Mama B had two babies and nobody tried to kill them. If it were hers, she could simply have quited and raised it. And if it were Sarah’s sister, why would the CIA want to kill her sister? And would Sarah really keep on working for an organization that is after her family? The most likely senario is what Gambs and Obleebah said: the baby is from a mission and needs protecting, but Sarah’s mom thinks it’s her granddaughter. That’s why Sarah can’t tell Chuck- she would either have to lie to him or admit to her mother that she had lied to her.

  46. i think the baby’s dad was Bryce Larkin which died and Sarah is hiding but how old is that baby

    • I hope against hope… the baby isn’t Larkins. Unless that means he’s back, then I’m ok with it – lol.

  47. i think it might me evelyn shaws baby and sarah has been protecting it and now shaw has set things in motion to get his child back
