The wait is almost over, but until airtime rolls around, here are some things you may have missed this week:

Please join us for our final live chat beginning at 7:30/6:30c. We’d love to experience the finale with you.

On a sidenote, many of you have asked us what will happen to ChuckTV.net once the show is over. Fret not, Chucksters, we aren’t going anywhere. We’ll be here to provide a gathering place for Chuck fans as well as an archive of five incredible seasons for the foreseeable future. We’ll also be reporting on whatever the Chuck cast and crew do next, so we can continue to support their careers. Plus, we have a lot of things planned for filling the post-Chuck void. So don’t worry, we’ll be here.

  2. “We have a lot of things planned for filling the post-Chuck void. So don’t worry, we’ll be here”

I hope this means a post-Chuck grief support group….I’m definitely gonna need it!
    🙁

  3. I plan on joining in… right up to the point the live chat crashes on me. It always crashes on me (it’s my laptop, has problems with extremely slow web form-fills too). So at some point, I’ll drop off and rejoin. Chuck is ending at a good time for me because work is going to get super hectic and that’s both awesome and not awesome at the same time.

    • Mark, which browser do you use? CoverItLive and Chrome don’t get along at all, so I have to host from Firefox.

  4. mel, thank you so much for of your hard work over the past five years. it is greatly appreciated by all of us chucksters. thank you also for keeping the web site going after chuck leaves us for the final time. it will be nice to keep up with the cast on what they are doing an to support them in their future endavors. it has been an amazing five year run. do you know if there are any plans for usa or someone to show the reruns of chuck? that would be great also. take care and thank you again for your time and efforts……….

    • Thank you for your kind words, Earl. You’re a sweetie.

So far Chuck hasn’t been sold into syndication for next season (WB hasn’t offered it yet). We’ll have to wait and see what happens.

      • Given the Season 5 episodes have not been as readily available through the normal channels (OnDemand, Playstation Store, etc.) as in previous seasons, I’m surprised Warner Bros wasn’t looking to capitalize on early syndication or a quick release of the Season 5 DVD/BluRay. Maybe they feel the overall demand just isn’t there. Personally, I believe Chuck will really hit its stride once it gets into syndication and people have the opportunity to stumble upon it again and again. One thing’s for sure — Chuck’s a charmer, he just needs to get his foot (or hand) in the door.
        Mel – Thanks for everything!

  5. It hit me this morning that it was ending as in thats it no more, boy did it hurt, I am not prepared for this. Having a massive chuck meganight watching chuck and sarahs best episodes starting with chuck vs the cliffhanger , the best music. To make tomorrow morning even sadder and have the best effect. I am not ashamed to say that I will probably cry like a child. Also this website is just phenomnally good for chuck info and has such a strong community, so thank you all who run this site.

  6. It hit me this morning and boy it hit hard. I am just not prepared to say goodbye please dont go. Its like an addiction over the last few days that I am literally itching to leave college to watch a chuck episode. To make this most of the finale I am having a chuck meganight with the best chuck and sarah episodes starting with chuck vs the cliffhanger and the best music. Being in the UK I won’t watch it till Saturday morning, just got to hope I dont get insomnia. One last thing this website is just brilliant, the info and community here is amazing so thank you to those who started it and continue maintain this site,

  7. Being from the UK too, give it a couple of hours and I won’t be able to visit my favourite fansite till Saturday evening 🙁

Glad to here you’ll be continung for a while yet Mel, with all the support we’ll need after the Chuck Saga is over, I doubt I’m the only one.

It’s a real shame that no channel over here picked up the final season as many people I have introduced to Chuck still haven’t seen any of season 5.

See you all after the close

  8. Cannot wait! Its going to be bad ass

  9. Wow, I can’t believe it’s finally the end, what a ride. I’m not sure if this is the right thread for this, but I just wanted to share a (somewhat) funny story about how I started watching the show: Although I had seen the early previews for the show and was intrigued, I hadn’t got around to watching it until November 2007, when an old friend raved about it and recommended that I check it out. Upon returning from visiting said friend out-of-town, I had an allergic reaction and came down with an awful case of hives. Unable to do much, I took some medicine, sat at my computer, and went to the Chuck portion of nbc.com. I read-up on the show and watched the most recent available episode, which happened to be Chuck vs. the Alma Matter. I absolutely loved the show, and it made me forget all about my itchy skin. I woke up the next morning hive free and excited to watch more episodes. It wasn’t until the start of Season 2 that Chuck reached “favorite show” status; but I’ll always remember my first viewing, as Chuck is obviously a cure for hives 🙂

I began my professional career in fall 2007, so in many ways this show has always been associated with the start of this phase of my life. I’m also roughly the same age as the Chuck/Sarah/Morgan characters, so I think that made the show resonate with me all the more. I first found out about this website during the Subway campaign, and it’s been great to have it as another great source of info. Thanks for your great work! It will definitely be werid with no Chuck to watch after tonight…

  10. While it will be sad tonight for the journey to end, I would like to point out that Chuck had an amazing run after the first season…

Many of the shows that premiered with Chuck that season suffered (like Chuck) because of the strike, 26 of the 39 new shows on the big 4 did not make it past their first season, and another 8 joined the cancelled after season 2.

Currently still on the air from that group is Private Practice, the Big Bang Theory, Kitchen Nightmares and CHUCK. Once called “the little show that could”, proved to outlast so many others due to the fine cast and crew, and fans like us.

Tonight will be sad, but it should also be a celebration.

  11. I hope tonights episode ends on a happy note for Chuck and Sarah. I will feel so terrible if Sarah doesn’t get her memory back

  12. Mel did you pick the chuck prize winners?

  13. Just thought of something. I want a Jeffster version of Short Skirt/Long Jacket with lyrics for the opening credits tonight.

    • That would be cool! But…well, we do get a different version of the opening credits for 5.13, but it’s not that. It’s another callback.

      • Question for us fans here in Australia. Will the Chuck and Sarah dynamic end on a happy note. I’m dying because I know an ending where the future is uncertain for Mr and Mrs Bartowski will be nothing short of disappointing for me.

  14. Mel- I say this in all seriousness. I do not think that “Chuck” would have made oit five seasons without you and the ChuckTV.net site. It seems to me you have been the meeting place for all adament Chuck fans which enabled everyone to mobilize with the different ideas to keep “Chuck” on the air. I really can’t visualize how it would have been logistically possible without you. For that all of you have my deepest gratitude.

I was wondering if you have ever thought about this , and whether Josh, Chris, et al have ever expressed any kind of acknowledgement to you?

    Thanks so much.

    • Chris Fedak and I communicate fairly often, and it’s something of a mutual admiration society. 🙂 Thank you for your sweet words, Paul. I’m glad you were able to join us here this season.

  15. I am prepared for it to end. It had a great run, and far longer than I ever expected or hoped it would given the ratings its had throughout its run. I feel the story has pretty much run its course at well so I feel at peace with it ending. Im excited for the finale tonight and hope it ends up happy for our favorite spies.

  16. And so it ends. It’s sad, really, being the only Chuck fan where I live. I have no one to talk to about it. It has truly been an honor to be a fan of The Little Show That Could. I’ve been there since the pilot, and I’ll be there when the lights go out on the Buy More one last time. I hope they syndicate Chuck so I can watch it again, just to smile and say “I helped make it what it is. I was there.” And when I have kids of my own, I can’t wait to introduce them to Chuck and maybe they’ll love it as much as I do. Thank you, Chuck. Thank you for everything. When I was at my darkest hour, you were there to make me smile. I wish you all well on your adventures in the future, and you’ll always have a special place in my heart. It sucks NBC didn’t treat you the way they should have in these final hours. But at least they gave us an ending, so they didn’t truly kill us. Thank you for everything, Chuck.

    Good Night and God Bless,

    John Fischer

  17. I enjoyed the last 2 episode night…
We all have some good memories, tears and laughs.
Our show lasted longer than I am sure anyone at the network thought it would last. It sucked when they moved kept moving the time and having money for that show one year and then the next year they do not want to show the episodes on their site anymore.
Our show survived many shows…Heroes to name one, who ever thought that would happen and the audience would not quit and from watching that channel it felt the netwrork was changing the kind of shows they make and they were cramming it in the line up the last couple of seasons…but meh…at least we all got to go Chuck ourselves …so that’s cool. =)
I liked all the computers they introduced, old, new, pc , mac and more and REFFERRENCES(to indicate the amount). Part of the opening sequence had a mac keyboard layout. There was a Mac SE in the intersect white room.
I think all the guys will admit we will miss Sarah Vicki Vale Walker and probably for the girls Dr Awesome.
Say good bye to action comedies…TV is changing. Visual media experience is changing and the demographic that really liked this show… is the end of how things…everything introduced to an audience and to people now is different and expansive…our generation witnessed apart of the beginning and of the end and our next generations will not remember how we turned the corner.
All this focused to a show about someone thinking he was not good enough and ultimately unknowingly proving himself wrong with love and his own drive…;-)

  18. Will miss you Chuck and crew.

  19. Wow, where do I start? I cannot believe that Chuck is over. It has been sort of a guideline for me to live by over the past few years. I guess it all began when I came home to my brother watching the first episode of season 3. After watching one episode, I immediately fell in love with the show. I ran to buy the first two seasons and finished them in about a week. I have not missed an episode since.

After watching the season finale, during which I did not stop crying, I was devastated that the cast would be broken up and that the show had met its end, but most of all I was devastated that I would never see Chuck and Sarah’s future life. As a romantic, their relationship was what I looked forward to every Monday (or Friday) night. After the closing scenes of the finale, I was left with a lingering emptiness. I felt that the Chuck and Sarah relationship did not receive the proper closure. But after thinking about it for a few hours, I realized that moping around because of the end of Chuck would not get me anywhere (which i will continue to do forever, yeah forever). I realized that the entire story of Chuck and his relationship with Sarah could be applied to everyone’s personal life and that everyone can relate to Chuck in their own way. And also that by watching the Chuck seasons over again, you are in reality, seeing where their relationship goes after the finale.

I will never stop watching Chuck. When I sat down to watch Chuck for the first time, I didn’t know that i would be taken on an emotional journey that would alter my life and my personality. I guess I was too naive to realize that a tv show could have such a great effect on me. After watching five seasons of the greatest show of all time and seeing it end, I am an emotional wreck, but i do feel that Chuck got the perfect amount of time to fulfill its purpose. I am forever grateful to the Chuck cast and crew, especially Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahovski, Adam Baldwin and Joshua Gomez for helping me through these years. To the little show that could and did, I thank you for everything. Chuck forever and always.
    Much love,
    #GoodbyeChuck

    • That’s a very interesting perspective, Steve, that the first 89 episodes are our look into their future. I like it!

  20. I just can’t believe that we were just given only 5 seasons. Darn we should have gotten at least four more season of Chuck.
