A couple of Chuck alumni are looking to return to TV next fall in a pair of new projects currently in the pilot stage: recurring guest stars Brandon Routh and Kristin Kreuk have signed on to pilots for CBS and the CW respectively.
Deadline reports that Routh has joined Partners, the CBS half-hour pilot from the producers of Will & Grace. The show is about lifelong friends and business partners —architects Charlie, who is straight, and Louis (Michael Urie), who is gay. Routh will play Louis’ steady partner, a former alcoholic, club-hopping model, now a sober, vegan nurse.
Kreuk has signed on to the CW’s reboot of Beauty & the Beast as the titular beauty. She’ll play Catherine, a tough-minded NYPD homicide detective haunted by witnessing her mother’s murder nine years ago and the killers’ quick demise at the hands of a Beast.
Wow! I would have thought that Sarah Lancaster would have been the next one to score a pilot.
Thanks for the update.
So is this officially pilot season in terms of new shows looking for networks to take a look at them? Or is this just pilots being made to shop around with this summer?
It’s officially pilot season. The projects being announced and cast and filmed now through March/April are in contention for Fall 2012 premieres.
I’m so happy for Kristin. She’s an amazing person inside and out and she’s such an underrated actress. She deserves her own show. Good luck to her and Brandon Routh.
Now we just need some awesome news about Yvonne.
Yvonne is currently filming “I, Frankenstein” in Australia.
There are some interesting points in time in this article but I don’t know if I see all of them center to heart. There is some validity but I will take hold opinion until I look into it further. Good article , thanks and we want more! Added to FeedBurner as well.
