Papa Bartowski Scott Bakula To Lead ‘NCIS’ Spinoff

CBS is working on another NCIS spinoff, set in New Orleans, and today they announced that they’ve cast their lead: Scott Bakula.

The former Papa Bartowksi will play Special Agent Pride, who “embodies New Orleans.” Pride is described as a man who is “driven by the“need to do what’s right and does it all with warmth, passion, strength and humor. He’s a unique federal agent working in one of this country’s most unique cities.”

Sounds like the perfect role for Bakula.

Here’s the synopsis of the spinoff itself:

“The NCIS New Orleans office handles cases from Pensacola through Mississippi and Louisiana to the Texas panhandle. New Orleans with its rich setting of music, fun and debauchery is a magnet for military personnel on-leave. And with fun comes trouble. It is a natural backdrop for a unique character driven spin-off.”

The pilot for the spinoff will air as part of a two-part NCIS episode this spring.

  1. Fantastic actor, great human being, legendary roles (Quantum Leap, Star Trek Enterprise, CHUCK) – suddenly very interested in NOLA!

Maybe the can use a Tech expert (Zac) and kickass agent (Yvonne) too 😉

  2. Love him in everything he does, but CBS is going to run NCIS into the ground like they did with CSI if they keep this up.
