Ali Adler, Ryan Murphy Sell Pilot to NBC

Deadline announced today that NBC bought a comedy pilot from former Chuck executive producer, writer, and fan favorite Ali Adler and Glee/American Horror Story executive producer Ryan Murphy.

After a bidding war with FOX and ABC, NBC snagged the as-yet-unnamed half-hour comedy created by Adler and Murphy (she is currently writing/producing the much-improved third season of Murphy’s FOX dramedy Glee). The series will follow a gay couple who hire a woman to be their surrogate as they create a family and is based on the real life experiences of Adler and Murphy.
