Ryan McPartlin debuted on CSI: Miami at the end of Sunday’s episode, and per Ryan, he’ll be recurring on the show for the rest of the season.
Ryan is playing Josh Avery, a State’s Attorney who happens to be dating Gabby, the object of Wolfe’s affection. You can watch his first episode at CBS.com (Ryan appears around the 39:30 mark) and see him again in the March 11 and March 25 episodes. CSI: Miami airs Sundays at 10/9c on CBS.

It’s kind of bittersweet to see our favorite show’s stars move on to other shows and projects now. I am happy for them all. I think Josh Gomez should be on “Rob” imo lol.

MCL as a gruff, world weary, desk bound police seargant on The Mentalist. “Dammit Jane, I need results, and I need ’em now, not day after tomorrow!”.
ZL as a regular bidder/buyer on Storage Wars…it would be hilarious. “I’ve got a buddy up in Ventura who just might be able to tell me what this (whatever) is really worth.”

Arggg…..this is kind of what I didn’t want to see happen. Very happy for Awesome obviously, but don’t want to see him (or any member of the Chuck cast) end up as cop #17 on the umteenth spinoff of CSI/NCIS/SVU.
Hopefully this leads him to bigger and better things!
He’s not “cop #17”. He has what appears to be an fairly significant story arc that spans several episodes.
I know Mel. I should cut CSI: Miami some slack. Plus I have no doubts that he’ll be a great addition. It’s just that CBS has bled that series dry, and I’d love to see Ryan in something new/original.
If I have to endure a scene of David Caruso looking at Captain Awesome while saying “Well Mr. Attorney, looks like your case of the killer chef tells one thing….(puts on sunglasses)…..he had a recipe for MURDER”. I’ll immediately slap my palm to my forehead and sigh.
Again though, still happy for him landing a role on a successful primetime TV show.
