  1. Doesn’t NBC have those “viewing party” rooms that you can do? We should all watch an episode together!

  2. Let’s crash the NBC.com website!

(In retrospect, that sounds like a mean thing to wish for, but it would be awesome, wouldn’t it?)

  3. Why not watch it on both? I have been streaming both hulu and nbc at the same time and I just mute one of them, and watch on the othere one.

  4. this is awesome!!!!! news travels fast! I’ll be there at 8 PM, watching on the NBC site. Be sure and tell the NBC Chuck forum you are there and why! (lots of us are leaving words of SUPPORT on the RATINGS/RENEWAL thread!) and please PLEDGE to buy something from your favorite CHUCK SPONSOR.

  5. I am so excited to watch this!!! anything i can do to help the cause. i think all chuck fans should watch, its a great way to show NBC how chuck fans feel about our show! SAVE CHUCK!!!!!

  6. FullMetalJacket

    Excellent!
I was wondering what to do tonight when CHUCK is usually on.
Perfect way to spend a Monday night.

  7. I’ll do both – but REALLY, what more do we have to do to show these people that we support this show? We’ve done virtually EVERYTHING! I would really prefer to spend that hour telling NBC how disappointing it is that they’re jerking us – and ESPECIALLY all the good people who work on the show and whose livelihoods depend on it – around so much. But I’ll watch on Hulu and on NBC. It’s just VERY DISAPPOINTING that they wouldn’t at least say SOMETHING – even just a post on the NBC web site that says “we’re still working on the details regarding CHUCK.” Otherwise I’m beginning to think they’ve already made the decision to cancel it and they just didn’t want the bad P.R. (fan backlash) to rain on their parade today. Renew Southland and Parks and Rec and NOT CHUCK? Give me a break!

  8. I saw on Nikki Finke’s site that Ben Silverman said that “NBC is engaging our advertisers with discussions of shows on the bubble” when asked about the fates of Chuck, Medium and Law & Order. Therefore, I think everyone should keep hitting up Chuck’s advertisers for the next two weeks (and beyond) and leaving them comments about the reasons you purchased their products (because you loved how they were portrayed on Chuck of course). The Subway campaign was awesome, but maybe we need to extend it a couple of more weeks and to a couple of more advertisers!

  9. Is there any way for us Canadian fans to tune in? Somewhere else on the net perhaps? (the NBC website and Hulu don’t work up here in the north)

  10. What about continuing the finale and a footlong movement. . .if we are all watching online tonight then why not do so with a tasty Subway sandwich? If we continue the “watch-in” next Monday night, then we should repeat the Subway movement next Monday as well!

Subway appears to be the easiest or most recognizable sponsor to support but if anyone has a list of other Chuck sponsors, please post.

  11. Chuck is what my life revolves around. I jet heard today that chuck is not on the fall lineup and I started crying. Idk what I would do without that show. I’m definetly tunning in at eight to watch the show on NBC. I hope they bring the show back. Idk what I’d do without it.

  12. unfortunaly i can´t watch it with you cuz i am from germany…but i´d love to if i could

  13. Subway is the only sponser that really comes to mind as an official product placement. However, in Chuck vs. Tom Sawyer there was essentially a plug for the IPod (with a shot at the Zune thrown in), so you could in theory, hit up iTunes, etc. Let them know you would like to see them support Chuck who obviously supports the IPod.

The only other one that remotely comes to mind is Best Buy since the Buy More is pretty clearly a take on Best Buy. Actually, this could be an awesome product placement for Season 3. With the Buy More arc seemingly “wrapped up” it could made to have been bought out by Best Buy. Best Buy could get their plugs without hitting us over the head simply by having the Best Buy set and shirts. At any rate, you could always make your purchase/pre-order at Best Buy for Chuck Seasons 1 and 2.

  14. Marvelous idea! But just for curiosity, why “Chuck Vs. The Colonel”? Well, if I had to pick one I’d pick that too anyway, but I’m just wondering why you decided on that one.

Argh… How I wish Hulu would work outside the US… Well, as usual, being with my hands tied I wish that all american Chuck fans out there rally and watch Chuck tonight. Having NBC.com crash would be nasty… but it would make for some neat advertising XD “Chuck fanbase is too heavy for NBC’s servers to hold. Too many Subways?”

  15. Justin Lafferty

Why at 8PM can we watch it at anytime because its on the website now.

  16. Sounds good to me.

  17. @Tim Johnson;

I think there’s plenty of official product placement in the show. Off the top of my head I can think of (1) the iPhone (in almost every episode in season 2), (2) Rock Band (usually shown in the background at the Buy More), (3) Toyota (Nerd Herder!), (4) Wii Sports (in Chuck vs. the Lethal Weapon). Granted these products are all a lot more expensive than a sandwich, in the event anyone buys one, it couldn’t hurt to send the advertiser a message that Chuck played a role in their decision to buy it.

  18. Justin. Everyone just decided 8 pm. But really, I would watch it during the time it plays in your area. That way they can “see” what show you are focused in during Chucks usual air time

  19. Justin: Because a concerted effort is easier accomplished at a common time…ie it shows solidarity and demonstrates that we’re willing to put in the effort to organize on behalf of saving Chuck. More importantly, that is Chuck’s time slot, so we’re basically telling them that we’re not watching TV at that time simply because Chuck isn’t on. And to make up for that, we’re pursuing an online venue for catching our show — a venue that’s official enough to definitely have its numbers noticed. That’s a powerful statement.

Props to Mel for the plan!

  20. Yes, Chris is spot on. Like I’ll be tuning into to Hulu at 7pm — Chuck’s airtime in the Central Time Zone.

  21. @Grace… I think that is a great goal.

Let’s pick a date, say Next Monday Night. Get as many Chuck fans we can get to watch a specific episode of Chuck on HULU or NBC.com (pick one) and do our best to take the site down.

The Save Chuck movement has some real power. Lets leverage it!

Liz & Mel… organize this for us and lets see what we can do!

  22. I think they are just testing us. they want to see how is our support. unfortunatly, im not from the us…so i cant watch

  23. ok nbc let us down today even though subway was Awesome I’ll still watch.

  24. Please spread the word to all the Chuck sites.

  25. Watching “Chuck vs the Colonel” right now on NBC.com. Why don’t they take “Deal or No Deal” off and and re-run the Complete Second Season of “Chuck” Now that would be worth watching…. “Long Live Chuck!!”

  26. Thanks so much for the ongoing support Chucktv.net! Credit to Lily1 for the great idea. Lets keep up the momentum, even after renewal is officially confirmed.

  27. I watched on hulu.com for the first time. Purchased season 1 and 2 on Amazon. Save Chuck! Sucks… Lets plan something bigger though. Will be checking back.

  28. Great idea! Let’s pick the episode for next Monday night and start spreading the word. And don’t forget your footlong. This plan has merit! Someone should post it on facebook and myspace after the decision is made as to what episode to watch. I would suggest eppisode 2.1. We can keep it up for as long as it takes and basically rerun the entire season all summer long.

Rally round the flag men! Viva Buymoria!

  29. Should I start sending Nerds?

  30. Watched it. 🙂

  31. I wathed it 😀
    I Love Chuck <3

  32. Mission accomplished! Such a great ep!

  33. The official plan is for vs. The Ring next Monday (May 11) followed by a weekly (every Monday) viewing and forum chat starting with the Pilot (May 18) until the new season starts.

  34. I watched it except since i already had all of season 2 downloaded i just had the hulu one playing in the background and watched my version since it was better quality 🙂

  35. great job guys hopefully its just a matter of time before they announce it officially but monday night chuck parties is a great idea for summer
    send nerds!!!

  36. What time next Monday? 8? Because I’m definately going to try to watch it. Chuck is the bomb and I can’t live without it. Long live Chuck!!!!!

  37. I watched on Hulu and NBC left some messages on the board at NBC. Pray…

  38. Does it count more if I opened “vs. Colonel” on both Hulu and nbc.com on two computers? Even if it didn’t, I let those four run and I invited myself over to a friend’s place and forced others into watching it with me. All I know is that it took forever to buffer and then it kept stalling so we had to pause it for a while, which to me was a great sign…meant a bunch of people were trying to stream it simultaneously!

And where can we watch the earlier episodes online where they would count for anything? Hulu and nbc.com both start with 2.12 and the WB rotates through the first season on some sort of schedule.

  39. In response to Kacey,

Canadian’s can watch Chuck online at:

    http://site.citytv.com/video/?bclid=1847441835

If that link doesn’t work, go to www.citytv.com and navigate to the ‘watch’ button on the top menu bar (under the ads)

  40. In response to Andrew:

    I. Love. You. I’m not trying to be creepy but I’m surprised I never thought to check out citytv. Dammit, you’re my hero tonight!

Alright…now I’m off to watch Chuck vs. the Colonel (albeit, quite a bit later than most of you)…

  41. And here I was making up season 3 episodes ideas. Image Chuck vs. Show where a Ring operative named Quintin Q Moore aka ‘Crybaby’ embedding elements of the intersect into a fictitious TV show, “Dancing with A Star”. In order to stop it, Chuck must flash on how to dance…opposite of Chuck would be the likes of Marie Osmond…

  42. DAMN, if i was living in us, i’d be watching 🙁

  43. Mel,

Set something up for next week. It will give us time to spread the word.

    Keep fighting the fight!

  44. I watched Chuck on Monday Nite at 8:00pm on NBC.com. The site was defiantly slower than usual to load. Let’s hope our numbers tells them something.

On a side note, I would think watching on the internet is better than Dvr recording because you can’t skip the commercials they post. Something to push in showing how important the internet viewers are.

  45. A reason for the delay in Chuck renewal announcement is posted at: http://tvbythenumbers.com/2009/05/04/updated-chuck-info/18028

  46. Hey Chuck fans, in the words of Chuck “Don’t freak out. You can handle this delay in NBC’s announcement about Chuck. I need you to be Awesome. Can you be Awesome?” Keep up the Chuck chatter. Tell others to watch Chuck on Hulu, NBC Rewind and presumably next Monday night. Keep letting your voice be heard!

  47. @Tim Johnson and others

Tired of sandwiches? Spice things up with some soup! See Chuck v. the Dream Job for a prominent display of Campbell’s red over white label soup in Stephen Bartowski’s kitchen. Online advertisers like Sprint, Dove and Olive Garden could be targets for Save Chuck business.

  48. Said like a true advertiser Kim XD Well spotted! It just hit me that we should also do some efforts to show support for some not-so-prominet products in the show, like the ones Kim posted. That way the companies that distribute those products will be more prone to renewal their product placement contracts with WB’s Chuck.

  49. If chuck isn’t renewed whats left on tv? Sure house is ok but any one with common sense can see its going down hill. Chuck FTW PLEASE SAVE IT!!! SIGN PATATION, WRITE LETTERS, BUY DVDS, DO ALL YOU CAN DO!
