Bryce. Is. Back.
Welcome to week 10 of Chuck Me Mondays. We’ve just survived Chuck’s attraction to Lou, and now we have to contend with Sarah’s former partner – in all senses of the word – and Chuck’s former best friend, Bryce. The man who sent Chuck the Intersect now needs his help to prove that he’s not a rogue agent in “Chuck vs. the Nemesis”.

PINEAPPLE!
Fav episode of the first season. Bryce is the straw the stirs the Chuck/Sarah mix. He brings out the best and worst in them.
I love this episode! Don’t know why, but all the episodes that Bryce is in end up being some of my favorites. Love the use of No One’s Gonna Love You at the end.

Oh Jeez. Chuck gets a HUGE sloppy kiss from Sarah in the previous episode and now Bryce shows up and two steps back. AHHHHHHHH! I still watched though. 🙂
Quite a few people have been wringing their hands over the past few days over what might happen between Chuck and Sarah in Season 3. Before anyone jumps off the cliff over another suggested love triangle by F&S I think it’s important to look at Sarah’s quandary over leaving with Bryce at the end of “Chuck vs. the Nemesis” or staying with her CIA assignment of serving as Chuck’s handler not to mention her increasing emotional attachment to him.
First of all did Sarah really have the freedom to leave with Bryce under CIA regulations? Second if Sarah did get emotionally/physically involved with Bryce on their “Omaha” mission was that “according to policy” or at least allowed between consenting fellow spies?
Perhaps this was Chuck’s reasoning when he purposely chose to upload the new Intersect. Maybe he figured that the only way to get together for good with Sarah was to become a full-fledged spy like her. After all it appeared to Chuck that she was ready to leave on the new Intersect mission with Bryce even after everything that Chuck had told her about wanting to have a future together.
As for the crisis that F&S talked about at ComicCom that will ultimately draw Chuck and Sarah closer together maybe it will be something like Chuck getting shot for the first time instead of a love triangle. After all the missions they have been on its about time for Chuck to get a major injury that requires hospitalization and perhaps under the care or supervision of Captain Awesome.
So until we hear more, keep the faith!

The best Jeff line fo all time, and we get to see it tonight. Looking forward to tonight. I know I will be watching Truth and Salami over again before the main event. You have to. These episodes go together like chocolate and peanut butter.
One of my favourite episodes. Ok pretty much all of them are my favourite episodes.
It’s pineapple time. This episode has what in my opinion is the best Jeff line ever “Pineapples are fun, my dad used to throw them at me.”
There just better not be a real pineapple incident while I’m watching this episode tonight.
This was a good episode, just not the best of season 1 but top 5 (i think).
The Thanksgiving/Black Friday episode.
We get Thanksgiving at the Bartowski house,Casey shooting Bryce again (and he’s still not dead!), Bryce shooting Chuck (that Klingon sure came in handy), Anna’s green bean casserole (with tartar sauce!), Morgan saving Anna from the fleeing crowd. Not one of my S1 favorites but it had lots of great little moments throughout.
I love the music when Sarah is deciding whether to answer the phone for Bryce or cell phone for Chuck.
Donovan, I think the whole emotional thing to begin season two will actually have a pretty simple explanation. Sarah is upset that Chuck put the intersect back in because she basically was ready to walk away from the CIA with Chuck. She had clearly made that choice to some degree by refusing her assignment. This ends up leading to the suspicion that Sarah did not help Bryce in his time of need because she was off pursuing the normal life. So the things between Charah are the new intersect and also some guilt about Bryce (Sarah has clearly chosen Chuck over Bryce for the long haul but Bryce was her partner too). HOWEVER Josh said it will be resolved better than ever. That is definitely all I need to know!
Everything I have read about season three sounds awesome. I am really liking the spoiler scene where Sarah has to hit on a guy in front of Chuck but Chuck gets pretty agressive in pursuing Sarah instead. That is the good type of triangle!
This is a great episode. I hope to figure twitter out while watching it!
lol funny, Morgan called Bryce a douche
I love how Bryce Larkin always has slow motions scenes whenever he is in an episode…starting with two scenes in this episode when he and Sarah are running and after he gets his new assignment. Other fans have mentioned this too and I agree that it would be great to see Chuck and Sarah have a coordinated fight scene in season 3 like Sarah and Bryce have in this episode to show a new aspect of their work relationship.

That was fun, spent most of the night on twitter. Can’t believe only 3 episodes left for S1. Wont be able to follow S2 until DVD comes out and will miss it.

Not a fav but like the end where Sarah decides not to leave Chuck. Great song
I’ve never been a huge fan of the Bryce episodes, although this one had some really good lines in it. My favorite was Chuck’s “I’m thankful Bryce Larking is dean and not in my bedroom making out with my new girlfriend” exchange. The best aspect of this episode comes when you compare it to Chuck vs the Break-up in season 2. Both have Bryce interupting the course of everyone’s relationships and choices have to be made. The differences lie in how much more confident Chuck is about himself and his spy life. Of course, the jealousy over Bryce and Sarah hasn’t changed but at least he’s shown some growth in other areas. “vs the Break-up” also has Sarah firmly planted in the Chuck camp instead of leaning towards Bryce in “vs the Nemesis”.
