The ratings for last night’s 2-part Chuck season premiere are in, and they’re pretty darn good! The first episode drew 7.7 million viewers and a healthy 3.0 preliminary rating among adults 18-49 (the all important advertiser demo) while episode two grabbed 7.2 million viewers and a 2.9 rating.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, those are Chuck‘s highest ratings since the post-Super Bowl 3D episode. It also improved a whopping 58% on its Dateline lead-in. Fantastic news, Chucksters! Don’t forget, episode three airs tonight in Chuck‘s regular timeslot at 8/7c on NBC!
The real test will be tonight, back in it’s regular timeslot. Ratings there will be a better indicator of how the show will do this season than those for a pair of episodes on a different night.
Hopefully it will maintain the momentum, or even pick some up, going into tonight’s episode.
I didn’t think the first episode was that good… I was pretty disappointed, i was excepting something else, its wasn’t like the real Chuck we saw in season 2, at least the second one was a little bit better but still i think the fact that they only got 6 more episode few weeks later made their story arc a little rush…I think they didn’t take enough time to present the new chuck….well personal opinion
I dont know, but please wrote my back Im very interested to see how people like yesterday episodes because i was pretty disappointed. I didn’t think the first episode was that good… I was excepting something else, its wasn’t like the real Chuck we saw in season 2. Everything went really fast with the whole Prague thing (also… Awesome and Ellie moving next door in like 5 seconds and we dont know why?) , i didn’t really get what happened and we jump right after in a mission with some random guy that we don’t give a damn about….I think they should of take the whole episode to explain every thing and tell us what is going to happened with Chuck now. At least the second one was a little bit better but Still why would the put Karina in the second episodes, they could at least wait a little. I think the fact that they only got 6 more episode few weeks later made their story arc a little rush… The Story line sucked yesterday I think they didn’t take enough time to present the new chuck… Personal opinion Lets hope tonight is going to be better and more funnier tooo!!!!
Better than I thought 🙂 I was expecting 6 million, but 7 is awesome. Lets keep it up!
I think that if Chuck viewers do not stay to watch Heroes after Chuck ends at 8/9, then the ratings will end up being better than Heroes and will not have to compete with Heroes for a new season. Not to be greedy for a season 4, but that would be a pretty strategic move no?

@NM a very strategic move! haha… sorry, heroes fans, but chuck is…well, you know, chuck! also, i loved the first two episodes! yes, the first episode was a little rushed, but i think it did justice to the show coming back with a strong season 3 premiere.
i dont agree with chuckles, i think the first episode was awesome but the second not as great but still good
I really enjoyed all 3 episodes!! Each season gets better, with fresh new stories. I love Mondays!!!! Keep up the great work guys and gals.
Somebody said that he expected 6 millions but i say that 7,7 is low.
I know that “Criminal Minds†on CBS had 9,4 on a rerun and i don’t understand why. 🙁
As for the first 3 episodes i think we need a topic but imo it was the same like in season 2, something new but all the same.
The only thing i like is Morgan nailing Carina. 😀
Monday’s numbers are in, and they’re down from Sunday’s. A 2.6 rating with adults 18-49 and 7.3 million viewers. Heroes only got a 2.1 and 4.7 million viewers last night.
