OK, again, Ausiello’s scoop isn’t much of a spoiler, but consider it another opportunity to debate who’s going to find out Chuck’s secret, how they’ll find out, and what the implications might be:
Question: I have a Chuck query. I was wondering if anyone else will be finding out about Chuck’s secret in the near future? —Jenny
Ausiello: If by near future you mean this season then yes, someone else will be finding out about Chuck’s secret in the near future. In fact, this unnamed individual will not only uncover the truth about Chuck’s other life, he/she will end up joining him on a mission. And if you saw Monday’s immensely entertaining and hugely pivotal episode, you know it can really only be one of two people.
WARNING: Possible big spoilers in the comments.
My bet is on Morgan. Though they kind of gave that away in one of the promos if you closely enough at it. He He I going to be winning a lot of bets. 🙂

I hope that by “one of two people” he means Ellie or Morgan, because the thought of Lester, or god forbid- Jeff, finding out- well, that’s one scary thought..
on a more serious note, I hope it’s Ellie, she’ll probably kick- ass on the field!!! though it will take a major issue right out of the plot, the whole Chuck protecting his family from the spy world..

It has to be Hannah. Even the promo for Chuck Vs. The Mask pretty-much gave this away. Although, I’d find it much more entertaining if Morgan found out; he’d freak–it’d be funny.
I really hope that it is someone in Chuck’s inner circle of friends and family that finds out. I will be greatly diappointed if TPTB decide that Hannah counts as a dear friend and is the only person to uncover his secret this season.
I assume that Hannah will find out (especially after the ep. 7 promo), however, I don’t think that she is the character they are refering to.

I thought Hanna is a CIA agent too. I guess we will find out Monday if she is or not.
I am sure that Morgan will be the next in line to find out about Chuck. So if everybody knows about Chuck being a spy why does he still need a cover? Is it just for Ellie? Can’t wait for MONDAY’S!!!

I was thinking CIA or another enemy agency, you know? Because at the end of Season 2 we learned that Fulcrum was hardly the only baddies out there — and wouldn’t it be interesting if Team Bartowski had more than one major player to worry about in the show?
I do believe Hannah is some sort of spy and further more I would relate her to Shaw. It was Hannah who started the game about who’s who on the plane. It’s Hannah who specifically asked Chuck about Hugo Panzer. She was seated beside Chuck.
She happened to have a lot of free time on her schedule if required. Shaw didn’t told Chuck the mission was on the plane. He had to make sure Chuck would flash. He had to trigger it and make sure Chuck would not fall asleep for the whole flight.
Hannah did say that Chuck look like he had been poisonned. Somehow my guest is that she was under very specific order to trigger Chuck and observe nothing else, no intervention, it would have been again Shaw desire to push Chuck and learn if he haves it in him.
So no you are definitively not the only one to believe Hannah is a spy. Are her feeling genuine, maybe. Somehow we will find out soon.
I don’t really think that hannah is a spy. However, I REALLY HATE HER! She is taking away from charah! Anywho, March 1st is her last episode! Yippee!!!!!
My guess is that it will be someone nondescript like Big Mike who finds out Chuck’s secret. If it is someone that he is too close to, the entire main setting of the show will be severely diminished.
I also think now, after 2-7, that Shaw is a former Ring operative. That would explain why they know so much about him,he knows so much about them. It would also explain part of the deal with his dead wife thing. What if she isn’t really dead? What if she just turned? I don’t know. The Olympics better get done fast, cuz Hannah needs to make a swift exit out of my life.
I assumed the spoiler was referring to a major character, such as regular cast member like Morgan, Ellie, Jeff, or Lester, (not including Hannah.) I think it will be Morgan that finds out.
did you see the spoiler in which chuck punches Shaw after he said that he had his chance with Sarah.In that promo there is a fighting scene with chuck and Morgan is also there so i think he will be the one to find out. sorry if my english is bad. I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina
you’re english is great Mizra!!! and you’re totaly right, it took me something like 15 minutes to find that promo again (’cause i’ve seen it once and didn’t even notice Morgan), and he is there!!!!!! on the one hand i’m kinda glad it’s Morgan, but on the other hand i really wanted Ellie to find out..

She mentioned in an interview that her departure is “open ended”..as in “she does not die”, so my guess is that with her skills she is off to CIA training….
I think it will be Morgan also. Is it fair to speculate that episode 3.09 “Chuck vs The Beard” is about this? I thought I read it was supposed to be a “Morgan” heavy episode.
I wish it would be Ellie… I don’t like the discord between them. And what was with Captain Awesome freaking out over the Paris tickets?!? NOT AWESOME.

Fortunately, I’m not bothered by spoilers, but on behalf of those who are, I think Chuck Fan should really have spoiler-tagged his post. There are a lot of people who are going to come to this thread and have the reveal spoiled for them.
Heck, even Mel (or Liz, I can’t remember) wouldn’t elaborate on this in the podcast, and that was in the SPOILER section! lol

Agreed… I seem to remember a photo of Lester with Shaw and Bartowski… Besides letting Morgan and Ellie in on the secret takes away a lot of the tension that the show has. Lester’s worship of Spy Chuck and his inept attempt to be in on the secret without alerting Jeff will provide some good comic fodder for the show.

Yup, it’s morgan. in the season 3 extended promo there is a clip of chuck in the castle training with Morgan.

Devon and Morgan can find out Chuck’s secret and even become quasi spies, yet there’s no way Chuck and Sarah can have a relationship.

I guess I just find it a little odd or ironic that important government people go to such lengths to keep classified secrets and now apparently two people close to Chuck have exposed him.
And have/will contributed to missions. Then you have Lou explaining how difficult it is to be a spy, how impossible it is for Sarah and Chuck to do their jobs competently while simultaneously having a relationship at this point because they’re so emotionally scarred.

I didn’t believe the “Morgan” comment about him finding out due to seeing him down in Castle in the Season 3 promo at the end of episode 2. But sure enough, I went frame by frame through the trailer and clear as day he’s down in castle while chuck is taking out a bunch of guys in the dojo room. There’s an african/american guy behind him (guest star of some sort) that seems to be just as stunned looking as Morgan as Chuck goes around whooping butt with his mighty Kung Fu skills. I wish I could upload the .JPG capture I took!

i hope it is not Morgan or Jeff or lester. I prefer the fun of keeping the lives separate at the BuyMore. That is part of the Chuck character, keeping his friends and family safe from the knowledge.

the only issue I have, is that we know only one person finds out. How will they explain away either Morgan or Ellie questions about Chucks life.
IF it is Morgan, Ellie will not suddenly stop asking questions… I think it would make more sense for Ellie to find out, as Morgan can be fooled into a fake truth easlier than Ellie.
i suppose it’s gonna be Hannah, if Morgan knows……well chuck will be a well known CIA agent to his family and friends……in case of a emergency none of his friends will dial 911…instead chucks phone is gonna be ringing..lol

I hope they dont let too many people know. That just contradicts the purpose of Spies.
The whole Chuck punching Shaw thing I have watched over and over again. I love his face when he does. I suggest to anyone watching the promo to watch that scene from where Chuck makes the face and then punches Shaw over and over again really fast because it is freakin’ awesome and I’m not just saying that because I am a fan of Chuck and Sarah’s relationship. I have also paused the promo where we see Shaw shirtless. My oh my! Chuck is hotter though in my opinion. 😉
And as to TCGerald’s comment I have to say I had the same thought. Maybe Hannah was put on the plane as back up or so that she could evaluate Chuck’s performance or something and now she is at the Buy More to find out about he and Sarah. Either that or she is a stalker. Boy I love speculating. 🙂
Not only do I believe Hannah is a spy, but I believe she was planted on that plane on purpose, possibly by Shaw.
TOO coincidental that she is on the plane and then winds up at the Buy More – classic setup.

I guess it will be Morgan too and I don’t like it. I don’t want to find anyone of the family/friends to find out anymore. I always thought that it would be better if Chuck is a hero and nobody knows about it. (S: You know). That is much deeper. It makes sense that Awesome found out, because he can/or cannot as we see now keep Ellie in check and it causes tension between them. Plus what are they going to do with Morgan knowing the secret? Make him his sidekick? That’s a bit much.
Unless they decide somehow that Morgan can’t know for some reason and let Casey do one of his hynotic tricks. That would be a callback to what he did with Lester…

It would seem that Morgan or Ellie would be one of the individuals to find out Chuck’s secret. The only thing that makes me wonder is that would seem too obvious for it to be one of them. Also, it would seem to take away from the “Keeping his secret from his family”.
Chuck has stated that Morgan is family. In the Esipode, “Chuck vs. the Best Friend”, it was obvious how much Morgan means to Chuck and for him to find out would take a major dynamic out of the show. However, I might be totally off on this.
I guess it could be possible that either Jeff or Lester finds out. However, I can’t picture either one of them keeping it a secret from the other. They seem too unreliable for such a major secret.
Then again, Casey could just hypnotize either of them into forgetting about it. ^-^
Unless Chuck is having a bad dream where Morgan ends up getting hurt. This could be one of his nightmares like he had with Sarah in the 3D episode. Having Morgan or Ellie get hurt because he’s a spy would be Chuck’s worst nightmare. I hope it’s not a dream though. I think having Morgan know would be cool. Morgan would probably handle it much better than Awesome and he would help Chuck maintain his cover when he disappears all the time.
Hey- does Chuck know that Sarah was the one dressed a ninja who attacked him and Morgan back in the pilot episode? It’s not important to the show for Chuck to know, but since they revisited the episode this past week it might be fun for that info to get out.
How will Ellie handle being the last to know? I hope she’s okay with it because Ellie’s the best. You can see she loves Chuck and only wants the best for him. I imagine she would be mad at her dad for involving Chuck in all of this.

That bursts a lot of bubbles, which sucks, but I think that’d be the only reasonable thing to do. If either Morgan or Ellie found out, the show would have to take on a whole different component that would mess up the tension that makes Chuck different. The challenge to have to keep him being a spy a secret from the two closest to him is a very important element in the show.
Jeff or Lester would really throw me for a loop — as would Ellie but the tension between her and Chuck is really important to the show. Morgan, I think, would be the ideal person to figure the whole thing out because he’s loyal to a flaw and he’s always (well…until quite recently) trusted Chuck’s judgment. Chuck’s spy life would still work if Morgan was in on it all.

i’m a 100 percent sure its morgan.. i watch the extended promo.. and morgan was there when chuck kick some butts out,, id really wish that it would be ellie.. it would really be nice see her in action and her reaction knowing her brother and father are in spygame..that would be fun
it’s gonna be jeffster.cause in one interview with adam baldwin on e i think, he said he was being choked by a bad guy then jeff choked the bad guy and used some of the chloroform he found in caseys locker back in season 2. plus morgan told ellie he’s got the best men on the field to spy on chuck, so clearly it’s jeff and lester, the way the stalked anna on chuck versus the bestfriend on season 2…
It is going to be morgan if you look on youtube for chuck season 3 promo 14, you will see chuck fighting others in a room with jewelery in it.
If you pause the video at about 11.5 seconds you will see btw chucks leg and his head in the center of the shot an enemy holding morgan as he sees chuck fighting.

I’m glad Morgan finds out. I feel for him. He is an over-the-top good friend to Chuck and keeps getting hosed. Chuck lying to him over and over makes me feel real bad for the guy. This would be a dream come true for the little geek/nerd.
Captain Awesome needs to step up his awesomeness and realize that Ellie needs to be protected. She is in the most danger if Chuck’s cover is blown.. its the same reason their father Orion took off.. Protect the family. Buddies need to be in on the secret. jmho
