By all accounts tonight’s episode is going to be a veritable goldmine of comedy, action, drama and all the stuff we love about Chuck. Directed by Zachary Levi, “Chuck vs. the Beard” airs at 8/7c on NBC.
Chuck (Zachary Levi) feels like his life is falling apart when he can’t flash and gets left behind for a mission. While Shaw (guest star Brandon Routh), Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and Casey (Adam Baldwin) go on without him, Chuck finds himself in a sticky situation back at the base. Joshua Gomez, Sarah Lancaster, Ryan McPartlin, Scott Krinsky, Vik Sahay and Mark Christopher Lawrence also star.

We recently moved, and of COURSE we won’t get our DirecTV hooked up till tomorrow. How soon does the episode go on NBC.com after it airs, anyone know?

2AM it should be on NBC.com.They put it on after it airs in Hawaii.
Based on the previews no reason for Chuck to be losing to Burn Notice on Hulu’s best in show

Just watched it here in Atlanta in the East. I don’t want to give away anything for those out West who haven’t seen it yet. But, that was the type of Chuck episode that we have all grown to love.
It had it all, Buy More humor, action, great interaction between Chuck and Morgan, Chuck back to his normal self, Ellie in a bikini, and the bonus…a Jeffster performance. I won’t give away the song, but I’m going to go pull up some CCR on my i-pod now.
Look for one scene where Casey gets a little help from a Nerd. It’s great.
amazing i loved it. i was so excited my dog got excited and jumped on me. it was great. morgan out to Know about chuck. i was uppauled. cant wait for lou’s artical on this one. CWTM ( Can’t wait till Monday )

just watched it twicw and only one word can describe…. Epic!!!!! I love the fact that Morgan now knows the big seceret, and looking forward to next monday. One downside of this week is that Awesome and Ellie are going to Africa.. that sucks and i heard about them leaving. and it makes me sad. but i hope it all works out Chuck and Sarah need to be back togeather. He loves her and I know that she loves him… so come on writers.. write it up and dont end the show doing so. All in all i loved it and im on the edge of my seat for next week.. I love CHUCK and do not ever want it to end.. ROCK ON!!!
Awesome Episode! To bad about Hannah….really liked her character. Was a definite bonus to the nerd herd.

Dude! Now THAT’s the Chuck we’ve all come to know and love. Man, this is what I’m talking about! For those of you who fired Chuck, how can you NOT rehire him after this episode?! I mean, c’mon guys, this is it. One of the best episodes of Chuck I have ever seen… dare I even say THE best episode?
Why, you ask? Well, let’s see here… *SPOILERS* Buy Moria putting up a historic fight (Viva la Revolucion!), JEFFSTER comin’ back with a rockin’ song, Morgan Grimes on the scene and in the know, Charah working it out and getting there… And Casey? Well, can’t forget about him, now can I? Dude, Casey getting beat up on? Not awesome, but then the first half of Jeffster coming in to save the day? LOL> That was epic. I mean, it was absolutely hilarious!!!
Zach Levi did such an incredible job with directing this episode. Totally renewed my faith in the well-being of this chucktastic show. I believe it’s the beginning of something big, folks. Also, an interesting point Shaw made… I honestly can’t say that I’d be sad to see him go.
Anywho, I can’t wait until next week’s episode!… CASEY!!!

YES! YES! YES! Best episode of the season so far, bar none! Loved seeing all the different emotions in Chuck’s face throughout the whole episode. Great job Zac!
This was the episode of the series so far. It is what I have come to refer to as a “Stand-Up Episode,” meaning that for the greater part of the second half I was standing at the tv I was either so tense or excited, often both. As soon as I got the tiniest inkling that it was going where it went I couldn’t stop beaming, ear to ear. I work as a custodian in a school alone at night, which is good because I’d feel ridiculous if there was anyone in the building to hear me laughing and shouting all the way down the halls. It’s always good to have faith rewarded and this was a reward for the faithful. It was game changing and just a blast of a good time. Bring on the rest of season 3 and hopefully beyond! Love it all!

came to read the review but since it isnt out yet just gotta say that episode was AWESOME, totally EPIC, loved every scene, **spoilers** although there wasnt much screen time between chuck and sarah, the bromance was def on, and we got to see chuck admit his feelings to morgan, episode 3.11 is gonna be all about chuck and sarah first they have to help out casey in 3.10.

episode is great but the only problem is…..Shaw is like a mess,to all three lives chuck,Casey yahh Sarah too……Hmmmmm,,,,,,,well,well,well,,,,now i can understand how Eve died,this jackass would have betrayed her as well, like what he was trying to do to Chuck,when he was bound inside the CIA base. how sad it is Shaw screwed everything but eventually he wants to make a decision on MORGAN….All these days i was on the concept that one man can make a difference.But after this epi i also realized one man can bring his fate on others as well……in the coming episodes i wanna see CIA/NSA/RING/CHUCK/CASEY/AWESOME EVEN MORGAN +Sarah,,,,,, TO HUNT THIS CRAFTY MAN AND TO CAGE HIM……
I agree with you chuck-only Shaw is like a blood sucking leech.He just suck the life blood out of Chuck,Sarah and Casey.Leaving Chuck behind at Castle because of his inability to flash is just wrong. Remember Chuck had the 1.0 Intersect without the martial arts skills he was part of the team. Shaw is not a team player.
Loved the episode. It’s a shame the writer (Scott Rosenbaum) has already moved on to be V’s showrunner. Maybe he still has other Chuck episodes “in the can”? 😀
Love this episode!Great job directing Zachary.This was a “MAN UP EPISODE”.Seeing the Buy More workers standing up for what they believe in. And finally,it was good to see chuck stand up to Shaw when he was planning to putting Morgan underground when he knew about chucks secret spy life.
I’m also happy to see Sarah backing chuck up against Shaw on this subject because Sarah whether directly or indirectly she the cause for Chuck not being able to flash in the ep.8″THE FAME NAME” When Chuck overheard Sarah telling Shaw that her real name is Sam at Shaws apartment.
Of course Chuck was deeply hurt by this to the pont that he couldn’t flash to save Sarah,s life when Rafe had a gun pointed at her head,Sarah knew then that she had broken the Intersect and Casey had to save her life again by killing Rafe.When Sarah got up from the floor and saw the expression on Chuck face and the look in his eyes,Sarah also knew then that she had broken him as well.
Thats why in the begining of ep.09 a week has gone by ever since Chuck found out Sarah,s real name on top of everything else in his personal life.the lying,the deception,secrets and manipulating were taking a toll on Chuck emotionaly causing his inability to flash.Sarah knew that she has broken the intersect,and she feels guilty about this that why Sarah and Shaw called Chuck down to Castle to get him to talk about him overhearing her telling Shaw her real name.It wasn’t about Rafe trying to kill Sarah and Shaw. It was just a con by Shaw/Sarah to get Chuck to talk about what bothering him emotionaly/personaly.
Of Chuck told Sarah thanks but no thanks.Thats when the camera cut to Sarah look on her face told the hold story. the guilt and the shame speaks volumes about this situration. But believe me Sarah never attended for Chuck to found out her real name like this,right now she’s emotionaly broken as well and Sarah is finding out the hard way just ask Chuck! That lies and secrets hurt the people that you love.
I hope Chuck and Sarah in future episodes can sit down and talk this situration for friendship purposes because both of them are not hurting professionaly but both of them are hurting personaly.
you are right,Sarah is guilty of revealing her real name to Shaw and she is the coz why chuck can’t flash……..i suppose if you had watched every move of Sarah since Shaw arrived, she’s more like comfortable staying and talking to Shaw than Chuck………. I suppose the reason why Sarah started to talk about chuck with Shaw is to get his attention and sympathy on her………
from my perspective on Sarah’s character on season 3 she is more like a hell of a woman, ungrateful as ever being with chuck for merely two years she trust’s her real name not with him but with another bloody felon spy………..
to be frank i don’t like where the story’s heading,,,,,Sarah is the one who made the mistake, but the writers want chuck to go behind Mrs Shaw and ask “SARAH DO YOU LOVE ME”…………..got to be kidding me,,,,,that’s not fair to the chief character in the show.I DON’T LIKE SHAW BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN,I WANT CHUCK TO BE A THIRD PARTY GUY BEGGING SARAH FOR HER LOVE WHEN IS IN A MIDDLE OF A RELATIONSHIP WITH SHAW,,,,yak, that’s sought of a wired thing,,,,,if chuck does that oh,man he’s like a man without a backbone,,,,,Sarah made her choice…….but seriously after 3*07 i don’t like this sarah’s character…….Hannah is better,we need her, not Sarah.
