Another good way to keep the Chuck fires burning over the summer is to dive into the world of fanfiction. Now, I know, I can hear the groans, but not all fanfiction is awful. In fact, some of the best stories you will ever read are written by Chuck fans just like you who were looking around for something to feed their appetites between seasons, even between episodes.
And last year, to recognize these stories and writers, the members of the “TWoP Kicked Us Out, But We Still Love Chuck!” forum at fanfiction.net held the inaugural Captain Awesome Awards for Excellence in Chuck Fanfiction. Thanks to the hard work and dedication (and iron hand) of our forum moderator, Notorious JMG, the First Annual Awards were a resounding success!
Which is good, because now we can have the Second Annual Awards! So please head on over to the nominations thread, read the rules, read the fanfiction, and help your favorite stories and authors finish off the 2009 – 2010 Chuck fanfiction writing year in a proverbial Blaze of Glory!

Awesome! Thanks for promoting the awards, Mel. And you’re absolutely right – for all the people rolling their eyes at fanfiction, they’re missing out on some of the most brilliantly written stories out there. A lot of us writers put a lot of hard work into the stories we write, and we do it for ourselves and the enjoyment of others. Hopefully now more people will see how far fanfiction will take you when it comes to waiting four months for a new season. 🙂
Thanks for the link. I recently found Chuck fan fiction, and there is some really good stuff there. It will definetly give me something to do while waiting for SEASON 4
