Halloween is just around the corner, and if you’re looking for something to get you in the mood, Macabre Mansion has you covered with their new adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s classic The Fall of the House of Usher with our own General Beckman lending her voice.
The Fall of the House of Usher is an original audio drama adaptation of the short story by Edgar Allan Poe starring Kevin Sorbo, John Billingsley, Bonita Friedericy, and Jim O’Rear. This adaptation stays true to Poe’s original vision with only minor changes in dialogue. The script consists of four speaking roles; Roderick Usher, Madeline Usher (Bonita), the family Doctor and the Narrator who is an un-named childhood friend of Roderick. The audio drama will be released in October 2010.
A portion of the proceeds from The Fall of the House of Usher are being donated to A World Fit For Kids. A limited number of autographed reward items are available in exchange for funding donations including cds and photographs signed by the cast. Find more details here.
Oooh, might this mean that Kevin and/or John might guest on ‘Chuck’?
One can hope!
That would be cracking!
“There was a long tumultuous shouting sound like the voice of a thousand waters. And the deep and dank tarn at my feet closed silently and sullingly over the House… of Usher.”
Used to be my signature once upon a time.
Wow, check out Bonita Friedericy’s headshot on that “more details here” link — when she’s not playing General Beckman, all buttoned down and hair pulled back, she’s HOT!
