VIDEO: Danny Kaye’s The Court Jester

In “Chuck vs. the Balcony” we had a very funny exchange between Chuck and Morgan about the “peppery pinot with the stork on the cork and the stable on the label”. As Liz noted in this week’s podcast, that’s an homage to a scene from the Danny Kaye classic The Court Jester. Chuck fan BJ found the scene on You Tube for us. Enjoy!

  1. LMAO!! I think I hurt something. This scene kills me every time. “The cork with the stork” made me laugh just as hard.

  2. The pellet with the poison’s in the vessel with the pestle the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true. Not that hard! LMFAO!

  3. What about the flagon with the dragon? LOL!

  4. I love Danny Kaye.

  5. I met the man once. It was in a hospital elevator in New Haven, CT, 1968. He was visiting an ailing friend and I was there for a follow-up visit after a broken arm. I was a child and didn’t know who he was but my mom did. Danny Kaye cheerfully signed my plaster cast right there in the elevator, and when I finally had it removed some weeks later, we saved the area which bore his autograph, which I still have. Now that I knew who he was, I immediately went about looking for him on television and, at length, found “The Court Jester”! So many great memories seeing this snippet posted here. Thank you.
