Chuck vs. the Podcast 85: C2E2 vs. the Muuurder

Chuck was in the house at the C2E2 convention in Chicago, and so was Liz! She takes us on an adventure of what it was like to be in the panel and press room, and she has video interviews to prove it. Chris Fedak, Ryan McPartlin, Joshua Gomez, Scott Krinsky, and Vik Sahay are all here for your viewing pleasure!

We also discuss Chuck‘s series low 1.5 rating from last Monday, urging fans to keep the faith and keep up the fight, with some new thoughts on what you can do to help Chuck‘s renewal chances.

We have a lot of fun discussing Chuck vs. the Muuurder, Kevin Bacon, spoilers, and a lot more!

  1. So many goodies from C2E2, Liz you are my hero. 🙂 Thanks for the supersized edition, and I promise I will do absolutely everything in my power to be counted in the ratings. But of course you know our 1.5 is more dedicated and passionate than anyone else’s 5. whatever. 😉

  2. Did Gray say no Chuck at Comic-Con this year?

  3. Hi,

Zac’s agent confirmed that he will be at Comic-Con “in some capacity.” Whether Chuck will be there will surely depend on renewal.

    Hope this helps,
    Gray.

  4. When do we anticipate we will hear if there is a renewal?

  5. Hi,

as Mel said, could be anytime between now and mid-May. The last two renewals came relatively late, both in mid-May. We’d like to hope it was earlier, but bubble shows are the last to be scheduled… my guess is no earlier than the 2nd week of May, and possibly right at the upfronts May 16.

    Hope this helps,
    G.

  6. Back on the seasons 1,2,3 I’ve always thought that the best song to discribe chuck and sarah’s relationship was “lie to me” by bon jovi. And… I just hope that if we don’t get a fifth season they don’t end the show with some cliffhanger, I’ll kill my self if they do!!!

This is one of those titles that is easy to pluralize but hard to get right. How did they decide exactly how many u’s should go into the title? That must be grueling work as a writer.

  8. You know, something that I forgot to mention on this podcast, and I feel horrible about it, was that I was sitting with Angie and Shari from Sarah Walker Fangirls during the panel, and then Angie was at the table with me for the press room. If it weren’t for them, I would have starved! They were good enough to nip a granola bar from one of the press rooms and bring it to me. Just fangirls looking out for each other!

  9. I hope NBC’s decision to keep skipping weeks of Chuck don’t lose the new viewers who might become uninterested due to lack of Chuck being seen every week.

  10. Great Podcast, good work Liz on the C2E2 interviews. Your Podcasts are one of my favourite things on the Net. The perfect condiment to a great show, keep up the good work you three can’t wait until next one – chao from the Coast.

  11. I would like more season 1 bad guys back!

  12. I loved Mel’s idea for this episode that it was all a set up to test Chuck’s leadership abilities. Of course, Sarah couldn’t have been in on it – trust issues and all that. I wish they would have gone that way. Though, I did like the mystery, and didn’t figure it out until the end.
