PREVIEW: “Chuck vs. the Last Details”

It’s the penultimate episode of the season, and if history is anything to go by it’ll be a jaw-dropper. With the wedding imminent, just a few last details need to be locked down, including rescuing Mama B from Vivan Volkoff.

CHUCK AND SARAH RACE TO SAVE CHUCK’S MOM IN TIME FOR THEIR WEDDING DAY – LAUREN COHAN, MEKENNA MELVIN, RAY WISE AND LINDA HAMILTON GUEST STAR — Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Sarah’s (Yvonne Strahovski) wedding prep includes one final detail: ensuring that the mother-of-the-groom (guest star Linda Hamilton) makes it to the ceremony alive. Meanwhile, Morgan’s (Joshua Gomez) responsibilities as Best Man include his most dangerous mission yet, as he faces Vivian Volkoff (guest star Lauren Cohan). Elsewhere, Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) tends to the last details of the rehearsal dinner and seeks help from an unlikely source. Adam Baldwin, Ryan McPartlin, Scott Krinsky, Vik Sahay, Mark Christopher Lawrence and Bonita Friedericy also star.

“Chuck vs. the Last Details” airs tonight at 8/7c on NBC. No promo stills have been released for this episode, upping the intrigue factors, but you can watch the promo here. 1. “Ellie tends to the last details of the rehearsal dinner and seeks help from an unlikely source.” Must be Jeffster.

  2. I can’t help be get the feeling that Vivian V. is going to turn out to be related to Ellie and Chuck in some mysterious way. And, the preview scene where Chuck yells out “Help me!” is going to be the end of the show since Mama B is sitting there as one of the guests…. here’s hoping that NBC advertises the show and we have more viewers in an effort to get at least a 5th Season pick-up for 13 episodes!!!!

  3. I turned 22 today and theres a chuck ep on tonight cant beat that

  4. I am really looking forward to this episode. At least in this week’s promo they didn’t ruin any of the suspense, but rather built upon it. No production stills either – as much as I like to speculate on the little tidbits we do see, I’m quite happy to speculate blindly too.

When I watched Agent X last week, I couldn’t help but notice how many moments were ruined by the promo they showed for it. We knew that the bad guys would show up at Vecas, we knew it was going to be Vecas and not Vegas, and we knew the commandos that showed up at Sarah’s party were going to be strippers, we knew Chuck was finally going to tell Ellie the truth and we knew that Chuck wasn’t agent X – all because of the promo.

  5. I was just over to cast a few votes for E! Save One Show.
Chuck has made it to round 3. Here’s the link: http://ca.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_with_kristin/b240875_save_one_show_2011_10_more_fall_which.html

  6. That was an a-ma-zing episode! They have a knack to write excellent last episodes! I can’t wait to see how Chuck will save Sarah and marry her!

  7. It was a great episode. Nicely done, humor and drama and romance. Great combination. I cannot wait to see the season finale. Go Chuck!

  8. AHHHHHH!!!! It was so amazing!!!!!! Why did it end like that?!?! It’s only Monday night and I am already freaking out for next week. I think that since Sarah said the wedding is in 2 days…the episode should be in 2 days…(: who’s with me!?!?
    IM SOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!

  9. No matter what happens next week on the 16th….thank you writers, directors, cast, and crew for an enjoyable journey. Job well done!!! You should be proud!

  10. Wow, talk about push me over a cliff. I never expected Sarah to be the one that would get hurt and I have mixed emotions about the whole thing. I know that Sarah will be ok (they can’t kill of one of the main characters unless they are going to end the show). But it is really hard to see her get hurt. Really kinda makes me which that i did not alway watch it live so I could skip right to the next installment. I normally can’t wait until the weekend ends so that I can watch the next installment of CHUCK. Now I can’t wait for the week to end so that I can get to the last installment (this season). oh well I will be looking forward to next week i guess, they have done a real good job of telling us nothing about what is going to happen in the last episode. This weeks advertisers are easy … I already buy most fo the products, except for the KIA (which since Saturn is no longer around is more than likly going to be my next car).

  11. Sigh. Deep down inside I knew this was coming, as soon as that spoilery hopital photo was published. But despite two years of evidence to the contrary, I clung to the faintest of hope that Sarah wouldn’t be back in the victim/damsel in distress role yet again.

So now we’ve a finale to look forward to where Sarah’s laid up in hospital for probably 99% of the episode whilst Chuck saves the day again.

    Sigh.

  12. I watched this with dread, because I had long ago concluded that it was Sarah who would be hit with the Norseman. It still hit me like a ton of bricks, tho’.

I truly hope that they don’t feel they have to be “edgy” and either kill Sarah, or else do something like leave it ambiguous at the end whether she lived. (I could see a minister at the hospital and it’s not clear if he’s doing a wedding or last rites.) If they don’t (a) have her recover and (b) get Chuck and Sarah hitched, I suspect a bunch of fans may release their Inner Caseys.

Not to mention it would be major major major league Series Fail!

  13. I have a feeling that the “cliffhanger” will be related to Sarah. I’ll bet she has amnesia but only in relation to the last few years with Chuck. That leaves a good feed into next season or a horrible ending for the series!

    • That would truly suck, on a bunch of levels, so I hope you’re wrong (but fear you’re right, esp. given the vague expression she shows in the previews). Not only do they owe it to the characters and fans to let them finally get happily married, but to drag out the “will they/won’t they” bit longer would be way overdoing it. Presuming there’s a next season, from the standpoint of an interesting (as opposed to repetitive) story, they need to tie up this knot, make their marriage a basic backdrop of the series, and go on to tell other tales about these characters and their lives.

      • But are you satisfied with the level of affection between Chuck & Sarah, at least? 😉

      • I was thinking from that promo; there is a scene of Volkoff in prison clothes with glasses and when Chuck asks for his help he has civilian ones – so my guess is Chuck breaks him out of prison and uses glasses to reverse/suppres Intersect and then asks for help from Hartly. Next one there is a fight in Castle from a guy I don’t recognise so I guess he’s Clyde and I think Casey (to fast to tell for sure). And finaly when he says “bring on the twist” Chuck is in the car “Oh boy!” and I think it says in reverse because it’s outside “just married” and you can clearly see a heart pictured next to it. If I assume this car isn’t a dream than I guess they marry and Chuck maybe discovers what Sarah did in hospital – that he’s gonna be a dad.

      • Got me. Yeah, that was good.

  14. Got me!

Following up on FantasyFan’s comment, and obsessing far too much, I could see it play out like this:

    1. Sarah is alive, barely in hospital.
    2. Chuck, using Volkov, searches for antidote. He and Mama B use the PSP device from First Fight to get him back into Hartley mode.
    3. After various struggles, they succeed in giving the antidote to Sarah.
    4. But, the result of the Norseman is she is now amnesiac, whether totally or for the past four years uncertain.
    5. They could leave the cliffhanger like that (which would be truly horrible), or else they might use Jeff’s rehearsal video as an “intersect” to get her memory of her time with Chuck and the entire four years back. Remember, Jeff has 1200 hours of Sarah video, so he could rebuild her past four years.

  15. Ive been wondering, do we know what Vivians key unlocked? a glowing cabinet, what if Volkove has a first generation intersect device and she got a dose of it?

  16. OMG THAT WAS SO AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Lol woops, I was talking about the finale. I guess there’s nothing up for that yet!
