SPOILERS: Another Photo from the Chuck Season Finale

After last night’s cliffhanger, it’s obvious we’re in for some drama in the Chuck season finale as Chuck has his chance to go all Phase Three on Sarah’s behalf. TV Guide has another exclusive photo from the episode showing us a feverish Sarah in a tub of ice with Chuck by her side.

But the promo showed us she’ll be completely fine! why do they reveal so much?! I mean, i’m glad she’s gonna be ok, and I figured she would be, but they just took all the suspense out of the first half of the episode :/

    • I’m not so sure that the wedding sequence they showed is THE wedding sequence. I think it may be a dream, her dress was different and Morgan was officiating, so I’m not quite sure.

      • I agree here – after I saw the ending last night then the promo for next week (combined with the fact that it’s called Chuck vs. the Cliffhanger), I was sure that the wedding scenes were either Chuck’s or Sarah’s dream. Either way, I cannot wait until next Monday. I am so nervous, excited, scared, everything!

      • I think Sarah will be fine… because if you pause the promo right as Chuck says “O Boy” you can see in the back of the car it says JUST MARRIED and it wasn’t part of the dream… you could tell the dream was in a different pigment than the reality scenes

      • I agree. If Chuck magically gets a Season 5 even for 9-13 episodes, hopefully Comcast can turn some things around. Lack of funding and support was one thing for the first 3 seasons, but this ENTIRE season practically gives away all the suspense of the episode to follow the week after. I believe it was Mel that made was the first to point this out early in the season and it’s driving me nuts.

      • I think the beginning of the promo is sarah’s dream sequence. We knew from the beginning Sarah would live! They kinda CANT kill off sarah…!!! But the wedding WILL happen!

      • The wedding will not happen, i would stake everything i own on that. The closest we will get is the dream sequence. I am so sure i would risk getting a loan from a shady Russian mobster to bet on the fact they will not get married.

      • I’ll take that bet. 😉

  2. That could be like, part of Sarah’s feverish imagination or something. This is CHUCK never expect anything! But you’re probably right.

As someone commented on tv guide “Can we use that weapon on the NBC exec’s if they cancel Chuck?”
    just kidding (maybe)

    • Can we use that weapon on the producers if they don’t let Chuck and Sarah get married?

I agree with others that the wedding you saw was a dream. I’m also not convinced that the “Just Married” sign reflects a good outcome.

Just don’t cliff hang us with no Chuck/Sarah wedding, or Sarah amnesiac or something like that. If she is, maybe they use Jeff’s video as the Sarah Intercept to bring her memory back.

  4. I do have to admit that I’m confused as to how all the others who were killed by that device died (or appeared to die) instantly. Of course, I’m very glad that this was not the case with Sarah, but just a little surprised they had the others keel over so quickly knowing this was going to happen in the end.

In my other random Chuck thoughts, I was thinking it would be great for Chuck to somehow pair Vivian up with her sweet and gun-crazy granny and father next week. Perhaps she’ll realize he’s a good guy after all and turn off her psycho wanting to rule the world switch? But then again (FINGERS CROSSED) that would all be great material for a Season 5. 🙂

    • since sarah got medical attention right away she was able to sustain dying..

      • I`m pretty sure it is because Sarah was quite far from the device, it might have been less powerful.

      • That could be it too. But the ‘Awesomes’ were there when the device was triggered on Sarah. (not that it looked like they were doing much.)

    • I’ve been thinking that is gets weaker with distance. I also was wondering after the room of bad guys died how the CIA agents guarding the real Italian mobster were reacting.

    • My thought on Sarah not dying immediately is that since we’ve seen Vivian hesitant to kill as well, maybe she stopped pulling the trigger to soon, that she couldn’t go all the way through with it.

      • Itabashi Zangitan

For this to be a true Chuck story.

Chuck has to save Vivian. That’s the hero that he is. In the finale they have to setup this scene between Chuck and Vivian. He doesn’t try to kill people, he brings the best out of people, that’s what he dose.

I would be dissapointed if this didn’t happen. Its a very important character issue.

    • Sarah rolled a 20 on her death saving throw…

  5. Regarding the wedding scene in the promo clip, did anyone notice who is performing the ceremony? It is Morgan. I wonder if it is Sarah’s dream?

  6. Ok so I just relized that yvonne had to sit in that friggin tub of ice I hope she gets paid extra for that

  7. UnleashTheCasey

Headline for this photo should read: “Love on the rocks”. Sorry folks, my brain thinks it’s a comedian. Bad brain! Bad brain!

    • I think I might have that one topped. How about “Cold as Ice” by Foreigner?

    • UnleashTheCasey

Ice Ice Baby – Vanilla Ice (I should be shot for knowing that).
This thread can only end badly…

  8. I’ve cant stop looking at this. I keep coming back to it. The latest time though I noticed that Zac’s hair looks like plastic Action Man hair.

  9. oh boy!nxt mon’s a long time coming…sigh!are the bridesmaids in the wedding dream sequence really the girls fr.cat squad?hope they made it esp in the actual wedding scene (if there will be one in church) so sarah will not be disappointed.

  10. If NBC cancels Chuck…I will build a Norsman device…

  11. I think that the whole wedding scene was a dream Sarah had while in the hospital…I think that sarah isn’t going to wake up untill the end.. and NOW the whole funeral and a wedding picture kind of makes sense…!!!!!!!

  12. sigh…i want sarah to live, and i want there to be another season!

    • Sarah is not gonna die. But I think that she will be close to death. NBC cannot kill off Sarah. There could be NO CHUCK (show) without Sarah in it! And there could be no Chuck (nerd-spy) without Sarah. So in conclusion Sarah will not die(: (:

  13. Well about the wedding u should read what Fedak said to Ausiello, and me thinks u’re not gonna be happy.

i think they will do the same plot of sarah in chuck vs phase three for chuck this time. we will see how chuck will react and do things for sarah to be alive. i don’t think that they will let anything happen to sarah (i was thinking same thing happen in The O.C before where misha barton dies in 3rd season, then the series was cancelled because of low ratings) i really pray that we may see the future baby chuck and sarah in season 5. will be happy to see more than 20 mission/season of chuck, and besides mama b is back, would like to know what will happen when mama b and sarah agrees on one mission.. 🙂 I REALLY LOVE CHUCK AND SARAH!!! ESPECIALLY CHUCK!!! LET’S PRAY HARD FOR THEM TO GET ONE MORE SEASON.. 🙂 GO CHUCK AND SARAH!! 🙂

  15. There has to be a wedding because it has to function as a possible series finale. And I mean a real wedding, not a dream wedding. Also, Sarah won’t die because without her there’s no show. End of discussion. They’ve also said it has a good ending. I’m quite looking forward to this one because if my theory is right, it will be very similar to Phase 3 except with a role reversal. Take Phase 3, have Chuck saving Sarah this time, and combine that with the Chuck and Sarah wedding and you have one hell of an amazing episode.

Also, hopefully Comcast will be able to correct NBC’s idiotic mistakes (time slot, promotion,… need I say more?) and allow Chuck to become the show it can be. If NBC cancels it, that could hurt them a lot more than they think because the majority of Chuck fans don’t have the dastardly Nielsen boxes so our views don’t count, which means that the show has many more fans and viewers than the ratings reflect. This whole mess could be so easily fixed by making a few tweaks, and it would be a total shame if Comcast fails to recognize that.

  16. Hi all, I was thinking back to the church promo picture – Bartowski/Bartowski wedding makes sense now. How you may ask: Sarah is seriously ill – so Chuck & Sarah gets married @ the hospital. When Sarah is well enough – they have the big wedding @ the Church. Does that make sense? What do people think?

  17. I think your right because its kind of a short way to tell what all others just said. I think its a good way to end a season and serie’s finale.

I want a season 5 too and the 4’s finale will be one of the best according to me due to the fact that it is a mix between near death and wedding wich is an awesome mix. ON that note, Happy finale all!

  18. I just can’t shake the feeling they will get married. Schwedak never let’s us down. We just need to relax and watch it unravel it’s self. 🙂 wow. Another great season coming to an end. Crazy.

  19. Just a random posssibility — Vivian, despite what we expect, has turned full villain, and even after seeing her father as a normal person, she still takes an offensive against Chuck and Sarah, so one of them or Casey is forced to attack/kill her. This leaves Alexei/Hartley to seek revenge on them for killing his daughter, setting up a 5th season. It could work exactly with the roles of Vivian and Alexei/Hartley switched too, leaving the villain of next season still keeping the same enemy, but leading us into a new story where they’ve created their own nemesis.
