Chuck Campaign to Appear on CNN.com Live (CORRECTION!)

Rumors have been swirling. Conflicting reports have been published. But we finally have the definitive answer to the most important question on the mind of Chuck fans: the CNN coverage of our renewal campaign is finally confirmed! CNN.com Live will feature the Chuck renewal campaign on Thursday, May 7, between 1-2PM EST. They’ve tapped our own Gray, producer/co-host of Chuck vs. the Podcast, to appear live along side Josh Gomez and/or Zachary Levi – depending on schedules – during the segment to discuss the fan campaign.

Bookmark the page, set your alarms, write yourself a note, do whatever you need to do to make sure you catch this one!

Edited 5.07.09 @8:40AM: A CNN producer just alerted me that this segment will be on CNN.com Live, not CNN TV, so everyone should be able to watch online!

Edited 5.06.09 @9:25PM: Josh Gomez is scheduled to appear, not Josh Schwartz. Sorry for the confusion!

Today marks the tenth anniversary of the Chuck series finale. It feels like a decade …

  1. I got the info on my windows sidebar sticky note as a reminder.

  2. So this is good.. they wouldn’t cancle a show they gave an hour to for it’s renewal campaign.. would they??

  3. Nice! We finally get some serious publicity!
I’m kind of getting used to the idea of Chuck renewed.. I hope that will be the case at the 19th….

  4. Awesome! I don’t live in the US, but I hope to catch a video of this.

  5. Hi,

just a clarification that it won’t be an entire hour, but one story at some point within that hour. Also, they continually warn me that breaking news can change everything.

I’ll do my best to represent! If you have ay suggestions for me I’m happy to hear them.

The main points I want to drive home are that:

Shows like The Mentalist get 15 million TV sets – but people watch it alone – 15 million sets of eyes.
Chuck gets 6 million TV sets – but people watch it with their friends and family — 18-20 million sets of eyes, even before Hulu, Amazon, etc.

    The #2 thing is:

I only PVR – I never watch commercials.  Pop-up ads annoy me.  And yet I love the product placement in Chuck, and support the advertisers. Chuck works for the new way people are watching TV, but it’s harder to measure.

#3 is that this show is amazing, appeals to all ages, has something to satisfy everyone, is safe for the family, and people need to watch it to see how great it is.

    Other thoughts?

    Cheers,
    Gray.

  6. WOO HOO!!! I was really hoping something like this would happen. I’m telling everyone to watch CNN at that time :). Too bad I’ll be at work. Set the TV to record at that time. Hopefully someone here can record it and upload it for us.

That is awesome!!! Thank you whoever made this possible!

  7. Sadly, I don’t get this channel. Will it be up on video?

  8. That’s great Gray! This is awesome news indeed. I hope someone can record this and post on the web for us non-americans to watch.

Well you asked for more thoughts so, good or bad, here is what I can think of from the top of my head.

    – The renewal campaigns and the critic support towards the show have created an ammount of buzz that was never witnessed in this kind of campaigns, enough buzz to get people curious and give the show a chance when they otherwise wouldn’t. With this there is a big chance that a third season will have more viewership as new fans catch up during the hiatus.

If I can think of anything else I’ll post it here. Hope it helps.

  9. Hi,

I’m going to tape it. If I’m allowed to post it I will put it on my blog.

    – Gray.

  10. Awesome!!! I’ll be watching!!

  11. Hi Odrep,

Great point! I know we didn’t see a big ratings boost for the finale, but I believe it’s because people want to be caught up. Now that they have the whole summer, they can watch on DVD and be ready for season 3.

    – G

  12. Gray:

One other point that may or may not be worth mentioning is that Chuck may get “only” 6 million viewers, but it is in a brutal time slot going up against House, Big Bang/How I Met Your Mother, and Dancing with the Stars. I think that considering the competition, it gets pretty good ratings and in a different time slot, might get Amazing ratings.

I know I for one have always been interested in Big Bang Theory, but in my house, we can only DVR 2 shows in a time slot (without the ability to watch a third) and so we end up watching Chuck and House. Similar things could be working against Chuck in other households.

You might not want to go down this road though since it highlights that other shows are more popular. I guess my thinking is just that in a different time slot, Chuck might be able to really take off.

  13. That’s right Gray, no one starts watching a show on the finale if they are thinking of watching the show… especially if they are thinking of watching the show as that’s just inviting major spoilers all the way.

  14. Play up the fact that CHUCK is an event…and that Nielsen is an OUTDATED method of calculating viewers..

  15. Hi

    Nice job gray !!!!!!

In France, we are not rather crazy to make this kind of campaig for a show and I regret it. The show is a lot of success in France and chuck-france.net is with you 100 %

    Go go Chuck!!!!!

    Granilith From France

  16. I think detailing how Chuck transcends different demographics and appeals to all different types of people and tastes is important. Most shows on prime time TV today have a specific demographic following. However Chuck appeals to: Young & Old, Male & Female, Wealthy & Modest, Action lovers & Comedy lovers and many more. I think this point plays into the idea that while only 6 million TV sets are tuned in, you have a large diverse set of eyes viewing.

But most of all, Chuck is fun. Just plain fun. Other shows are great thrillers, love stories, and dramas but not many are just pure fun. This is where Chuck sets itself apart.

  17. If you have to highlight the best aspects of the show itself, don’t forget to refer how multi-genre the show is, and how it is important to support shows that have the vision to create new and refreashing concepts.

  18. I don’t live in the US.. So I usually download the episode the next morning. So my viewership doesn’t count. I bought the season 1 DVDs so I guess I contributed in some way. I think if they just let people outside the US watch on HULU or NBC.com that would also bring in a lot of viewers.. but I don’t know if they would count people outside the US.. I don’t really know what I’m getting at but I think my point was.. Tell them something like.. the show has a big fanbase outside the US as well even if their viewership doesn’t count.. well heck what do I know.. I’m just a big fan of the show.

  19. Please post the video up as I can’t watch it live as i have class! but i do want to see!

  20. Right on, Alex! CHUCK is just plain fun! – and there’s not enough of that on T.V. anymore. Yes, there are comedies, but CHUCK has more than just comedy – it’s TOTAL ENTERTAINMENT!! It’s got EVERYTHING – action, drama, comedy, romance, silliness, etc. in just the right mix! – and it promotes what some in Hollywood disdain as “family values” without actually shoving those family values down viewers’ throats. Things like loyalty, dedication, sacrificing for others, looking out for family – THINGS THAT MATTER – Chuck has all of it and more!! No wonder we see so many entire families lobbying for CHUCK’s return! C’mon NBC. Time to announce SEASON 3 – and a FULL season at that!! Keep it goin’ CHUCK fans. We’re going to pull this out after all!!! Support the Heart Association campaign, too! Help in the fight against heart disease and support CHUCK at the same time. That’s a 2-fer that you can’t pass up! See this site’s earlier posting for more details and donate to the American Heart Association. CHUCK is a show with HEART! It’s a perfect match!

  21. Hey Gray,

About your point number two (Product Placement), perhaps you can say something along the lines that Chuck is a perfect show for product placement: it’s set partially in an electronics store. When we had Madden placed in an episode, it felt natural. As did the S2 premiere with the Call of Duty 4 chatter. And well, the target demographic (18-49) probably notices the games in the background. I have noticed Wii Sports, Fable and Guitar Hero in the Buy More screens.

  22. GRAY:

Something else that’s important? Anyone who lives on a College Campus or in an apartment CANNOT be a Nielson viewers. That leaves out a HUGE amount of viewers, especially in the key demographics. So when they say only 6 million people watch Chuck every week, not only does that ignore the people who watch with others, it ignored the people who watch with others in both apartments and dorms. Which includes ALL of my friends – and I have A LOT of friends who watch Chuck!!

  23. I’m hoping that if they renew Chuck NBC will air reruns, perhaps on USA. They did the opposite with Monk and Psych to get new viewers a couple of years ago (aired some eps on NBC) and I think pairing Chuck with either Psych or Burn Notice would be great. I notice that people who love Chuck also watch those shows, but I also know some who love Burn Notice and/or Psych who have not yet become Chuck converts. Summer would be a great time to pick up new viewers and capitalize on the recent publicity! If nothing airs until fall or *gulp* winter, all this free publicity will have been forgotten by the general public.
I don’t know if it will come up, but I just thought I’d share my take on it.
Thanks for all your hard work!

  24. Finally – I hope!
President will probably decide to make another speech..

  25. I have my TIVO set to record this CNN show

  26. In a word Gray…Awesome! One additional point I feel you should mention is one I found interesting about NBC’s infront presentation and their pitch to advertisers. The following is from TV Guide…

Much of NBC’s “infront” presentation dwelled on the synchronization of content and advertising — namely, in cross-promotions and product placement — TVGuide.com asked Silverman about the fact that Chuck sponsor Subway went on to play a central role in the fan campaign directed at saving the series.

“It’s amazing,” he said, “and that’s the goal around those [partnerships]. That is a win-win.”

FYI – In the same breathe Silverman said that IF Chuck comes back it will be on a different night…so essentially, a show that proved your theory correct (based upon fan action, rather than Network involvement) is still on the bubble?!?!?

There was a more comprehensive article that went over the details of NBC’s integration platform for next season, but I can’t remember where I saw it. If anyone knows what I’m talking about, please provide a link (and I’ll keep looking). I think it would be great to re-enforce that Chuck has already done what NBC is hoping to accomplish. If anything, they should keep it around to study it and find out why!!

  27. To people in the UK.
We can get CNN on Sky channel 506.
If I’ve figured it out correctly, it’s between 6/7PM tomorrow evening.

  28. Great, i’ m from europe and i cant watch the show live thats make me a pirate but i bought S1 and preorder S2 trought amazon..and i cant even use the cd on my dvd reader…but this is money well spent for a great show

  29. Hi,

    thanks for all the tips!

By the way, Wendy are you Wendy Farrington? If so, I’d love to chat about your Finale and a Footling idea and how you came up with it. I want to make sure I get my facts straight if I’m asked about it tomorrow.

    – Gray

  30. Yup…I am. Is there an email address where I can send you my contact info somewhere on the site? I actually sent Mel an email just a bit ago asking for a way to contact you in case I’m able to get any solid figures from the Subway rep tomorrow. I’ve been all over the guy for the past week about getting some relative figures to determine if the campaign had any impact, but with a CNN interview coming up tomorrow…I’m hoping he’ll muster something together for you to share.

  31. hey GRAY:

  34. sorry i post twice!!!!

  35. ps. i post my vid on cnn. sorry again

  36. A couple of thoughts for the CNN segment:

    1. Some folks may think the campaign to save CHUCK has taken on a life of its own and is now the most important thing – after all that’s what interests CNN. But, we should emphasize that CHUCK THE SHOW IS THE MAIN FOCUS. We are not “fans” as in “fanatics” driven by some sort of “mob” mentality but rather devotees of (and thankful for) a good TV program.

    2. Yes, technology has made a campaign like this possible but the real benefit of all this technology (blogs, twitter, websites, etc.) is to empower viewers to have some input into the quality of their own entertainment. We no longer have to endure in silence. We can find like-minded folks and know we are not alone and can make a difference. If the campaign itself has a meaning it is that we are no longer content to let someone else decide what we should enjoy. And this campaign to save a beloved TV show proves that Neilson numbers are not the only numbers that matter.

    3. To me, CHUCK is like a good book. Maybe not great literature but like that book you’ve read 5 or 6 times over the years because it is so enjoyable. Well written, great characters, funny, exciting, engaging, smart, silly, happy, edgy, dramatic … in short, all the things that make life fun, interesting and satisfying. Whether it’s bringing a catch to your heart, a quickened pulse or a smile to your face, it is making you feel and care. The message of the SAVE CHUCK campaign (not the meaning) is not only to the network but to all our unknown friends out there that we want to share this great book – err show – with you and we know you’ll enjoy it too.

  37. Hey Gray,
First of all, congratulations! I’m SO jealous that you get to hang out with Josh and/or Zach, but you clearly deserve it for all your hard work on the Save Chuck campaign.
About the product placement – there’s another side to the “Chuck is the perfect show for product placement” argument: Not only is it set in an electronics store, but it’s a fun comedy. Chuck can do things like have Morgan sing the “five-dollar-footlong” jingle on the show, and viewers just think it’s funny. It works with the show in many ways, as I hear it does on 30 Rock.
The biggest point here is that Chuck is one of the only shows on TV where this kind of advertising can work. Can you imagine one of the CSI lab techs singing the “five-dollar-footlong” jingle as he/she presented a footlong sub to Laurence Fishbourne?
    Good luck tomorrow!

    -Grace W.

  38. Hi everyone.
I’m a fan from Singapore and they don’t show Chuck season 2 here yet.. But i’m making my comments based on all that I’ve read so far according to the American TV system and ratings and all that stuff. So forgive me if I get anything wrong ya?

First off, Gray it’s AWESOME that you get to represent all us Chuck fans. I was just about to ask if it was any confirmation after you mentioned it on the podcast? hehe. So yayy now!! I’ll be watching it on youtube =))

    Anyways, as to my suggestions.
I was wondering if you could suggest to them about more promotion about that show?
Cos I mean I agree that the show’s website on NBC is well updated and all.. but more promo in the sense of also interviews of the stars.. I mean I see those actors and all on talk shows all the time.. but I very seldom see interviews of the Chuck cast. I’m sure if they appear on more popular talkshow circuits like JayLeno (which is gonna be showing oh too often every night).. or Ellen for instance, the publicity would be much better. I know they appeared on the Bonnie hunt one.. and a few others.. but truth be told as someone from outside of America I’ve never heard of those. >.< I guess those I’m more aware of would be like Leno, Letterman, Ellen, Tyra Banks.. those kinda.. uh. people. hehe. =)
Especially since the cast are as entertaining as they are.. I’m sure if they will do good advertisement for the show if given the opportunity to.

Great to mention the current timeslot it’s in now. Apparently according to sidereel.com , if chuck were renewed, it won’t be on Monday… but I think it’s impt also to ask if it isn’t on monday.. then what day is a possibility exactly? Friday would make it in a much worse state won’t it.

And.. it would also be good to ask Josh if there are any updates on the issue of renewal. I hate it that sources are saying things like Nikki saying that “they are privately telling agents that Chuck is renewed”.. I think it would be great if we could get a more trustworthy answer and I think Josh would be the a good person to ask about the situation as of now.

    Yup that’s about it!

    Thank you so much!
Woohoo =) So glad this CNN thing is happening and I’m glad you are representing us.. All the best Gray! WOOHOO

    AWESOME.

  39. Mention Chucks ratings have been fairly consistent while Heroes has dropped drastically since the season 2’s debut Heroes has dropped 22% http://www.reelcomix.com/981-Heroes-Ratings-Drop-22.html. Why keep a show like Heroes (of which I’m a fan but it’s been going down hill since last year) and wouldn’t be too sad to see it go but would been very sad to see Chuck go. It’s such an awesome show!

  40. oh btw almost forgot to add.. that when the show producers actually WANT to promote the show.. they do it AH-MAZINGLY.
The Chuck sandwitch promos, superbowl promos, the one where chuck is in fight training with Sarah… Need I say more? =)
And it was obvious it worked cos looking at the viewership for the 3D episode… it sure as hell paid off!
So I just hope that more effort will be put into promotion too.. cos they do have the ability to do that. And of course an awesome cast to utilize for promos.

  41. I’m the only one in my Chuck group who watches the episode live. All of my friends and family DVR and even VCR! LOL Some watch online at NBC.com as well. Since I don’t have one of these neilsen boxes I guess that means my eyes don’t count when I’m watching?

It’s depressing slightly because Chuck is the one show that pretty much everyone I know, all ages, watch. The timeslot is brutal and many of my family watch Dancing with the Stars live and then watch Chuck later.

I love watching Chuck. So much of the stuff on tv just doesn’t speak to me or my personality. Every aspect of Chuck…from cast to storylines and even product placement…appeals to me. The last show that did that was Buffy. I don’t watch reality shows, sports or medical/police dramas. There’s not much choice out there for me. Cancelling Chuck would just make me less likely to watch any new shows in fear of getting hooked and seeing them cancelled as well. I know tv shows can only stay on air if they are profitable, but how is that judged anymore? If Chuck does move, I’d love to see it on Thursday at 8pm as a lead-in to the Office and 30 Rock. Most of the people who watch Chuck also watch these two shows.

Chuck fans have sported Subway in a way that shows our appreciation of their financial support and their product. I suggest to customers that they should eat at Subway in the mall all the time. I honestly do appreciate their support of Chuck and will continue to support them all summer while the show is in hiatus.

  42. This is great news; I’ll definitely be watching the Chuck News Network tomorrow.

In response to leleana, the Nielsen Media Research website says that apartments are, in fact, included in the survey data (http://tinyurl.com/rob7v). And in 2007, they reportedly began including college dorm dwellers, too (http://tinyurl.com/d9uewt). It wouldn’t do to go on national television and state something factually incorrect. If you want to criticize Nielsen, Wikipedia’s page on Nielsen Media Research is a good primer for the main talking points (http://tinyurl.com/dc6ewz).

But if I were you, I’d try to stay as positive as possible. You’ll likely have a very short time to talk (even less so if Josh and/or Zach are on with you) and in my mind the number one thing to get across is what I think is unprecedented fan involvement in saving the series. Other fans of other canceled or bubble series have orchestrated attention-grabbing stunts in the past, and have even been successful, but sometimes only for a season (Jericho, for example.) While Season 3 is a nice temporary goal, what we really want is to grow the fanbase so that we get many more seasons, not just this next one.

To that end, Chuck fans have gone a step farther than normal, proving their commitment and loyalty to the series by developing various campaigns that hit NBC where it helps. [1] Directly supporting the show’s advertisers (i.e. Subway,) [2] Watching repeats online (boosting ad revenue) either on a whim or as part of an organized group and [3] donating money to the AHA in Chuck Bartowski’s name.

Why is that important? Let’s face it, NBC really doesn’t care all that much about retaining Chuck’s current viewers in comparison to other programming. The current ratings are too low for that. If we alone mattered as much as we’d like to think we do, the show wouldn’t be on the bubble the way it is. It all has to translate into dollars at the end of the day, and even if Nielsen’s numbers are way off and there are 30 million Chuck viewers who are unspoken for, it doesn’t matter because NBC sells ads and generates money off of the Nielsen numbers. Criticize Nielsen all you want, but until someone invents something better it’s all the networks have.

So the only real option for Chuck fans is to convince NBC that our dedication and commitment to the show can deliver the eventual impact that NBC wants by helping to get the word out and grow the fanbase. If the series does get picked up for Season 3, it will be our job to spend all summer (and perhaps fall and winter, too) convincing family, friends, neighbors and strangers on the Internet to watch Chuck, or else it will surely be canceled before Season 4.

  43. Hopefully Subway will be willing to share their foot long sale figures with CNN. Also CNN might be able to get some preliminary data from the American Heart Association. Things are definately getting interesting. It will be very difficult I think for NBC to cancel Chuck now and I think this will be enough pressure on NBC so we get a full season of episodes. Atleast that is what I am hoping and praying for!

  44. Great thoughts, Jack T, as well as others.

Gray, on your first point, while mentioning that people watch in groups and as families is DEFINITELY a good thing, I would hesitate to say it averages 3+ sets while other shows only average 1. Even if this is true, there is really no good way to prove it or sell it to advertisers. Perhaps just hinting that it might have more non-recorded viewers because of this would be a good thing. Trying to compare it to other shows with fictional numbers may seem biased and inaccurate to indifferent third parties.

As for the second point, I think it is incredibly valid and one that needs to be made. I would, however, maybe try to point out that people in GENERAL are watching less commercials due to DVR, and maybe not emphasize yourself here. I just think it would be unwise to paint Chuck fans as those that are more likely to use DVRs and skip commercials than viewers of other shows. Viewers in general seem to be using DVRs more often, so the product placement working so well on Chuck is a large advantage. I would just be careful of creating the impression that Chuck fans being on average more tech-savvy will make them less likely to watch regular advertising.

I also believe this show is one of the most entertaining shows on television and can appeal to a wide range of people. I feel like this characteristic gives it a great opportunity to expand its fan-base in the fall. Its wide range of appeal also means that many of these potential new fans could be watching you tomorrow. Hopefully listening to you describe why you and so many other fans are so passionate about the show will convince them to give it a shot in the fall. How it has something for everyone but is also fresh and unique will hopefully help convince some people to give it a try.

That said, a lot of this may or may not even come up, as they may be asking you more specific questions about the actual campaigns. Hopefully some of it will though.

  45. Hey Gray,

I’d just mention that it is one of the very few shows that the whole family can watch together, unlike some highly rated shows that deal with the details of murders (csi, etc)or even worse stuff.(L&O SVU)

I think a very important point is that the campaign is not just fans, like others have been, but several of the most prominent TV critics have also voiced their support for the show to come back.

Also, to the best of my knowledge this is the first time a fanbase has come together and been positive, supporting a sponsor, the finale and a footlong campaign. Not just a bunch of idle, blowhard style network boycott threats, and were keeping it positive once again with the American Heart Assn. donation drive.

    Good Luck and God Bless.

  46. There have been a lot of great suggestions – you’d need that full hour to ask bring all of this stuff up 😉

I’d like to mention a few points as well (some are my take on what others have suggested here, too):

    1) Because the show is a fabulous and pretty much brilliant mix of comedy/drama/romance/family/friendship/action, I think it’s hard to promote – is it a comedy? Yes. Is it a drama? Yes… and so on. I personally find it hard to describe in brief terms to people. I easily get carried away and before you know it, I’ve talked non stop for 5 minutes about ALL of the great parts of “Chuck” and left my listener bemused… So what’s the solution? Promote it as ALL of the above! And really, how many shows can do THAT?

    2) “Chuck” has had some of the best guest casting on any show, ever. We’re not talking A-list celebs dropping in (no offense to who has been on the show, but we’re not talking Jennifer Aniston or Britney Spears..). I think the way that the cast, regulars and guests, just blend together so well – it’s been a joy to watch.

    3) The geek references – wow! OK, so I’m a geek and can fully appreciate each and every one. Maybe the mainstream, AI-loving public cannot (or won’t admit it if they do). Fine. But I think it’s entirely possible that “Chuck” could blatantly appeal to the geek population, too. Geeks spend money, often more than most people… think of the product placement potential at the Buy More

    4) Critics have come out to fight for this show, even ones that admittedly don’t or didn’t watch regularly. That’s got to account for something.

    and finally…

    5) I’ve posted this at various online sites and I’ll add it here. At some point, viewers need to demand quality over the mindless & cheap. Maybe there are fewer viewers who will do that but the networks need to keep a few shows on the air for them/us. It’s a real shame and a poor reflection on our society when we have to beg for a smart and funny show to stay on the air – especially when the replacements are recycled or simply blah.

Thanks for your great website and good luck & have fun tomorrow!

  47. I think all the fan involvement has been incredible. The latest campaign with donations being made to the American Heart Association is just another amazing group effort. I hope we raise $2 million dollars before we’re through. (I know, I’m an crazy optimist.) One of my favorite comments made on the Have A Heart – Renew Chuck blog (http://weheartchuck.blogspot.com/) is this one …”This is NOT something a normal fan-site would do! Oh, wait. I’m channeling Chuck again.” I think Chuck has inspired all of us to want to do something meaningful and from the heart.

  48. “Chicks Dig Chuck!” It’s true! His character is funny and smart. He maybe a nerd but he’s a keeper! As well as all the other characters…
Not only do I love this show, but so do my kids ages 7 to 11(Of course I make them close their eyes during some questionable parts.). We would like this show to continue as a family show. We look forward to our Monday nights as a family.
    SAVE CHUCK!!!

  49. Hi,

whew! thanks all… someone said it right that I may only get one or two questions asked of me, so I’ll do my best to bubble all of that down!

The first question will definitely be about the campaign. That one I can definitely answer the same way I did when I suggested the “Watch/Buy/Share” concept to Mel & Liz in early March: I loved Jericho, and was excited to see it come back. However, the peanuts did nothing for the longevity of the show. We not only needed something to bring Chuck back, but to keep it here for many more seasons. Watch/Buy/Share turned the fans’ attention to what the network was really attracted to — more viewers and more dollars. The fans since then latched on to that idea — do positive things that will impact the long term success of the show. Kudos to Wendy Farrington for the icing on the cake — the Subway idea was absolute gold, and like nothing we’ve ever seen in a viewer campaign before.

The second question will probably be related to why I like Chuck (or why I started the podcast — that came up in my initial research interviews with them). Definitely the easy answer is that there is something in it for everyone. It’s not only a family show, but crosses all boundaries unlike any show on the air right now. It’s got action, comedy, family drama, intrigue, and more than that is just pure fun. People sometimes get the wrong idea from the marketing — yet every person I’ve introduced to Chuck has been immediately hooked.

As for where else they might go — I haven’t the faintest clue, but if I were to guess, it would be something like “are fans smarter than they used to be?” — they are definitely more savvy, more plugged in, and more resourceful. We are seeing viewers taking ownership of a show, in a much more positive and intelligent way than ever before.

As much as I would love to get more detailed than that, I doubt they’ll go deeper on a CNN interview. Plus a LOT more attention will be given to Josh Gomez and Zac Levi.

I think that’s all the suggestions I’m going to have time to look at!

Thanks for all of your encouragement.

    Cheers,
    Gray.
