Could Bryce Larkin return to Chuck? Matt Bomer wouldn’t mind. In an interview with TV Squad, Matt said that Bryce’s death in “Chuck Versus The Ring” isn’t necessarily the end:
“I think he’s died three times now, so I don’t see why they wouldn’t bring him back again. I love everybody over there and I had such a blast working with all those people, Zac and Yvonne, to the creators, Chris, and Josh. If the scheduling were to work out, I would love to go back and do something fun. But in the meantime I just wish them all the best and I’m so, so happy that they’re getting into the season and people are sticking by them.”
Matt confirmed that nothing is in the works right now – he’s busy filming White Collar until October – but he’s definitely open to it. The new season of White Collar premieres tonight at 9/8c on USA. I’ve seen the first two episodes of the season, and they’re good. No sophomore slump there!
It would be so ccol to see him back again… my only hope is that they don’t use him as a romantic wedge between Chuck and Sarah again. That’s too played out to be interesting any more. It would be nice to have him see how good things are for Chuck and Sarah, both as a team and a couple, maybe go on a mission with them, give his blessing to the relationship, and leave.
Better yet; how about just a flashback or one of Chuck’s dreams. No more angst!

Umm… Didn’t Sarah throw his ashes in Lisabon or something? She said it in the 3rd season, I’m sure. It would be cool to see him again but I’m pretty sure Bryce is dead for real this time. Even if he wasn’t, it would be very cheesy to have him murdered and then resurrected a hundred times. Maybe he could have a small role in a flashback or something, I dunno.
I think the show is moving forward and not backwards so I doubt we’ll see him in the 4th season.
OK: in this implausible scenario, Bryce is secretly brought back to life yet again, and Sarah is given a box of ashes to sell the ruse. She has no way to know whose ashes she has (If it’s indeed a who at all).
Didn’t she just TELL Shaw that? I’ll have to go back and check, but I seem to remember that being her excuse as to why she was trying to meet Chuck. . . .
Hmmm, come to think of it, I’m not sure. You might be right. I remember I was confused while watching so it might just an excuse for her 3 days in spent in Praha, when they were going to escape together, that were off the record.
Anyways, I would think it would be a bad idea to revive him again (it would be like a soap opera). To have him in a flashback form would be awesome, however.

If he returns he would have to be like the new Shwarzenegger or smthin, lol.

Thanks for posting the link to that article Mel. White Collar is a great show to watch while waiting for Chuck to start up again! In reading the comment threads and of course your and Liz’s comments over my theory on Bryce’s possible “return” on the podcast, I tend to agree that Flashbacks about his previous involvement with Orion and the secret spy world would be the way to go. Sounds like Matt is up for it and he’ll be free in October!
I definitely can see them using the flashback model with Bryce and it would be good to get more background on his relationship with Orion and possibly MamaB. Leave the Bryce/Sarah relationship in the past.
With Dolph Lungreen in Chuck, Bryce could come back as a “Universal Soldier” 😉

Bryce could easily have implanted a message to Chuck inside the Intersect 2.0, he worked with Daddy Bartowski on it and had to know it may have ended up in Chuck eventually.
A dream sequence with Bryce giving Chuck a message and say he was glad to see them (C/S) together would be cool but I agree, no more bringing him back from the dead….now tension caused by Jill would be cool.
