CASTING NEWS: Lauren Cohan & Robin Givens Join Chuck

WARNING: Spoilers ahead!

TVLine reports that a pair of recurring roles on Chuck have been cast! As reported earlier in the week, the show was looking for actresses to play two characters who will first appear in episode 4.16, “Chuck vs. the First Mate”. Supernatural alum Lauren Cohan has landed the role of Vivian, an Oxford grad student who’s father is (unbeknownest to her) a criminal mastermind. Vivian is a beautiful, charming socialite who will play a major role in an unknown number of episodes.

Also launching a multi-episode arc in “Chuck vs. the First Mate” is Robin Givens as Jane Bentley, the director of the CIA’s National Clandestine Service who makes Casey an intriguing offer. Interesting considering he’s NSA. What will Beckman think?

Production on this episode begins today for an early March airdate.

  1. Wow! Lauren Cohan is such a beautiful woman. She’s just perfect for Chuck (series, not character). I wonder if she’ll make Sarah jealous!

    • Sarah will definitely be jealous! I THINK that’s gonna be the twist in the story, Lauren Cohan will be interested in Chuck.

  2. I think Vivian would be a perfect love interest for Casey………..and speaking of the grunter, there’s no way he’d leave the best partner he’s had (Sarah), the “almost second best” partner he has (Chuck) or the worst but most loyal partner (Morgan)

  3. I think that its probably Sarah’s sister. I mean her dad being a criminal mastermind, Sarah’s dad is a criminal mastermind!!! Maybe its her sis!!!!!

  4. Wow, Robin Givens! The former Mrs Mike Tyson. And “Head of the Class” is a real blast from the past. What an interesting choice for “Chuck”. And a bit more diversity in casting, too.

  5. Ok… I don’t know why but at first read through I thought it was saying Robin Quivers of the Stern Show. Then I read closer and realized it was Robin Givens. LOL… Yeah, that would make “more” sense. Quivers/Givens… those don’t seem close really.
