Chuck Season Finale Airdate Set

NBC announced their season finale airdates today – Chuck fans, mark your calendars for May 16! No word yet on whether that date has another significant meaning for Chuck & Sarah, but we suspect a “Save the Date” announcement will be up on ChuckAndSarahWedding.com before too long.

Here’s the broadcast schedule for the rest of the season, based on various sources:

  • March 14 – “Chuck vs. the A-Team”
  • March 21 – “Chuck vs. the Muuurder”
  • April 18 – “Chuck vs. the Family Volkoff”
  • April 25 – “Chuck vs. the Wedding Planner”
  • May 2 – Chuck 4.22
  • May 9 – Chuck 4.23
  • May 16 – Chuck 4.24 (“Chuck vs. the Ring Part III”?)

  1. Thanks for the schedule Mel. I’ve marked my calendar, but the three week wait between March 21 and April 18 is going to be a killer!

    • Agony, reruns just for a Chuck fix until “The Family Volkoff”

      • As I said on Twitter, look at the hiatus as an opportunity to bring new fans into the fold: Watch Season 1 with them starting after the episode on March 21st, then go through each of the subsequent seasons in each following week leading up to April 18th! 🙂

Long Live Team Bartowski! Long Live Chuck!!! 🙂

    • Somehow, I think it’ll feel more like a month.

  2. Season finale on my birthday!

  3. I’ve had the finalé listed as “Chuck vs. the Ring pt. 3” since the beginning of the season. Seems like a given.

  4. I get the feeling I won’t be the only one a little bit bummed if the super episode we tune in to see May 16 is not titled “Chuck vs the Ring Part III” LOL

  5. I’m thinking 4.23 will be Chuck vs the Ring 3 and 4.24 will be Chuck vs the Honeymooners 2.
Or will Honeymooners 2 be the season premiere for S5?

  6. maybe the title of 4.24 will be unrelated to a wedding.

Chuck Vs the intersect part 2 (throwback to how far we’ve come from the Vs intersect/pilot), but if not chuck vs the two words

  7. What’s going on in April that pre-empts Chuck?

    • It’s not a sweeps month, so most shows will be on hiatus/in reruns until the end of April and into May, which is a sweeps month.

  8. Only disappointment is that it looks like 4.24 is only an hour instead of 2…

  9. has anyone else noticed that this is the longest lasting season ever

    • Yes, the show was given an extended back order, 11 episodes instead of the traditional 9, bringing the total for season 4 to 24 episodes.

  10. not just more eps more months too started in september and is ending in may

  11. i might be aging myself, but back in the good ol days, during the regular season they would show reruns. the reruns are what extended the seasons to last thru sweeps. shows werent pre-empted for weeks or even months. is it just Chuck or dont they show reruns anymore? i know OCCASIONALLY NBC will put on a repeat but VERY rarely. i wouldnt mind these missing weeks if we were guarenteed a Chuck repeat would be on.

  12. Very few shows other than sitcoms rerun every episode nowadays; the ratings just aren’t there, plus people have too many other sources to watch episodes they miss.

Ever since the 11-episode back order was given, I’ve wondered if the producers and NBC could work out some sort of deal regarding season 5. A normal full-season order of 22 episodes would bring the total number of episodes to 100, which is considered the magic number for syndication. This could potentially bring the producers a good deal of money in the future, so perhaps if they cut NBC in for a small portion of any future syndication deals, NBC would be more likely to give a full-season renewal up front.

    • Since syndication would benefit WB and not NBC, I think it depends on how bad WB wants the 100 eps. If they’re willing to give NBC a price cut in order to get the 100 eps for syndication, I think the chances of a 5th season greatly improve.

  13. schedule not good, university assessment time in middle of it, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
    well at least its airing
