Now that I’m back home with reliable Internet, it’s time to get caught up on the Chuck fashion questions! This week we asked costume designer Robin Lewis-West and propmaster Scott Bauer to help us find everything from a maternity sweater to sunglasses ideal for robbing a bank.
Receptionitis66 and Christine both inquired about the outfit a very pregnant Ellie wore in “Chuck vs. the Gobbler.” Robin tells us that the tan cardigan and the black shirt are both from A Pea in the Pod, although I’m not finding the cardigan listed as available right now. The necklace belongs to Sarah Lancaster.
Mitch is curious about the eyewear used on the show. All of it. That’s a lot of stock to get through, but Scott starts us off with the sunglasses our modern day Bonnie & Clyde wore in “Chuck vs. the First Bank of Evil”: Chuck wears this pair from Ogi Frames, noting that “We tinted the lenses. Â These were supposed to look like Robert DeNiro’s sunglasses in ‘Heat’.” Sarah sported Oakley’s Crosshair 2.0 men’s glasses in matte black.
Right after “Chuck vs. the A-Team” aired last week, we received an influx of emails asking about the gray jacket Chuck wore throughout the episode. Richard P., evO, Ty, Rick, Sam, Natalie, and Kat, we need to work on your memories: this is the same Earnest Sewn jacket that Chuck wore in “Chuck vs. the Balcony”. We received a lot of inquiries about it back in January, too. Looks like Chuck picked up the last one, though, as it’s not listed on their website as part of the current line. Sorry.
