With approximately four months until a new episode of Chuck, we’re launching the Summer 2011 Rewatch to keep fans from going too stir crazy. Happydayz will moderate the live chat every Friday at 8/7c (Chuck’s new home beginning in September). Four episodes were chosen from each season, starting with the one that started it all, episode 1.01, “Chuck vs. the Pilot”.

If I really had to pick my favorite Chuck episode, like in a survey or something, this one would be it. It never gets old and it is always the episode I show to people that have not seen or heard of Chuck.
I just rewatched this episode–and Chuck vs. the Helicopter–yesterday! Was still brilliant, especially after seeing where everybody is now at the end of Season 4. It never loses its magic.
I think I might just need to rewatch all of Season 1/2 this summer…
Excellent re-watch. Thanks to Happydayz for hosting. Reading through the comments from the chat room this morning is also fun; I see all the ones I missed or didn’t get chance to comment on. Chuck fans are some of the wittiest people I know.
Im from the UK ive just rewatched the season 1 chuck dvd box set a few days ago and today i rewatched all of chuck season 2 and season 3 box set dvd and now im waiting for chuck season 4 to come
Mel, how could you screw this up? Episode 1.01 is entitled “Chuck Versus the Intersect”.
No it’s not, it’s simply titled “Pilot” but most Chuck fans refer to it as “Chuck vs. the Pilot.”
It makes sense that 1.01 is called “Pilot” due to how TV shows work. But most Chuck episode titles directly reference the plot in some way. Chuck vs the Pilot”? unless it’s flying related, doesn’t make a lot of sense.
I would naturally assume most fans refer to it as “Chuck vs the Intersect” being the Intersect is the cause of it all.
