Yvonne Strahovski Tweets Her Farewell to Fans

Today is the final day of filming on Chuck. The end of nearly 5 years of one of the most captivating shows to grace the small screen. Yvonne Strahovski, the cast member most prone to tears according to Chris Fedak, took to Twitter a few minutes ago to say farewell to the fans and share what’s in her heart.

“Dear Twitter peeps, lovers of Chuck, of our Chuck characters and everything Chuck. Today marks the very last day of filming on this show. I cant begin to express how much I have loved this ride, and how much I have been amazed and touched by your ongoing support. Today is a very difficult day. We will walk away happy, though. Happy to have gone through this together, happy to have made friendships for life, and the greatest and best fans on the entire planet. So my #ThankYouChuck is a thank you to the fans. Thank you for seeing us through this journey, for your endless support, for the love and the determination. Thank you, thank you … thank you.

Love, Yvonne Strahovski

Tra la la Chuck!!!!”

  1. She moved me to tears. I was gutted after I read this, and felt like she was so emotional as she was tweeting it. I kinda thought she would be the most emotional, and this tweet shows it. Wow! I just, wow! Sorry. Kleenex moment….

  2. just exciting to yvonne’s an amazing actress who always excites us thanks to the affection of the whole cast with chucksters

  3. This makes me really sad. 

  4. I wish Yvonne GREAT success with her acting career both in Australia and here in the USA. I’m really glad the producers made the right call and brought her into the show 5 years ago. She was able to portray a great mix of action, emotion and comedy in the role of Sarah Walker. Not an easy task for actors especially with all that comedy timing that is either a hit or a miss.

I think she did a wonderful job in this role and really SOLD IT that she was a hardcore spy but with a heart that just needed to be unlocked by someone special. It was always fun rooting for these characters but perhaps for Sarah the most because you just wanted her to be happy. You knew that would happen if she could just get her Chuck (and those pesky producers would just let it happen already! lol)

For me, this show will surely be missed. 🙁

  5. It is so sweet from Yvonne. I wish her a bright future. She was amazing in the role of Sarah Walker, as all the Chuck cast. It’s been a wonderful adventure and I will miss Chuck forever.

Thank you Mel and Liz for your site. I will miss all of you, Chucksters.

  7. When we heard from the set visit the previous day that Yvonne had been crying the most i think I loved her even more than I had before as it showed everyone that Chuck had been more than just a Job for her and that although she will undoubtedly go on to other projects that Chuck was special.
These tweets that she posted last night broke me and I think all the fandom If you read these and did not tear up then you are stronger than me. It was horrible going to bed still with tears in my eyes.

  8. Thank you, Yvonne! We love you, too!

  9. She’s really sweet. The best female spy ever! I will miss all this guys so much. I think all the things the fans did to get season 4 and 5 really worth it. I’m so proud of this serie. GO CHUCK!

  10. I almost cried. It is to be congratulated for the wonderful work and I hope it remains this wonderful person and that can make all your dreams. After seeing the news of the last day of recording, I was remembering all those years of the show and just thought, “I hope the call to do other work such as film, because it is very good.” When I got to the movies, I watched the movie Killer Elite, and look who I see, Yvonne, I was very happy!

    BRAZIL LOVE YVONNE!

  11. Yvonne tweeted earlier today with the query, “Now what?”

Not being a Twitter-er, I crafted my own ideas, and am submitting it here for your approval…

First of all, I would say than any actor or actress who parachutes into LAX, lands the co-starring role for an hour long network series within 3 days, then works steadily for the next 5 years, is probably the greatest success story in the annuls of Hollywood. You didn’t have to wait single table or join Scientology…incredible!

So, what about the future? Some suggestions…

Keep shilling for Kenmar and the like.

Continue to attend Comic-Con. And start your own “Vonny-Con” while you’re at it. You could hold it in Siberia in December and still draw 50,000 plus.

By all means, keep publicly gushing about how great Chuck fans have been. We love it, and can’t get enough. 🙂

Ignore any dumb-assed, ill-informed “World’s Hottest Babes” list that ranks you out of the top ten.

And finally…leave room on your 2032 work schedule for a 20 year reunion special of Chuck on NBC!
