Yvonne Heads to Broadway!

Yvonne Strahovski continues to mix it up post-Chuck: After filming the female lead role in the movie I, Frankenstein and scoring a mysterious recurring role in the upcoming season of Dexter, it’s just been announced that Yvonne is headed to Broadway!

According to the New York Times, Yvonne will star opposite Tony Shalhoub and Seth Numrich in the revival of Golden Boy this winter. Numrich stars as Joe, a promising violinist who is tempted to become a boxer; Shaloub plays Joe’s father; and Yvonne plays, Lorna Moon, Joe’s manager’s girlfriend who Joe falls for as well.

Golden Boy will be performed at the Belasco Theater, where the play was first presented in 1937. Previews begin November 8 with opening night set for December 6.

  1. Well I think Yvonne stated in some earlier interview she would like to do theater. So does this mean she probably be relocating to New York and steady gig like this she likely to be passing on next season pilots as well? Looking forward to reading about how she doing and this would be a plus when wife/daughter talk about going back to NYC to take in some more Broadway shows. Thanks for sharing Mel

    • This is a limited run, so she will most likely be available for pilot season if she chooses to go that route.

  2. Hi All,

    Good luck Yvonne!!

  3. Amazing! Can’t wait to see her on all her new projects/shows.

  4. I think this play starts in December this year? Will be worth checking out just to see her live performance and compare it against what we saw on Chuck.

is it just a play or is it a musical?

  5. I love it. She’s gonna try it all. Time to show everybody else what we Chucksters have known for years…she’s a marvelous talent. Can an album be next ? Lol!!

  6. Hi!
So I have a question that doesn’t really have anything to do with this article, hope it’s okay! 🙂
On most of the Chuck-actors imdb-pages it says that they each have been on the Chuck soundtrack in one episode. I’m just wondering if they have cause then I’ve totally missed that, or is it just a misunderstanding? 🙂

  7. good for her… though i am missing “chuck” and the gang, it’s nice to see them still getting the jobs.

  8. I wish the best for this step she is going to make.. I’ll miss her and all the team in Chuck.. I wish they make a movie or a sixth season maybe even though deep inside me i know they won’t.. Good luck to all for making us the last 5 years more beautifull!
