Friday Five: More Chuck Guest Stars With Their Own Shows

Chuck seems to be the perfect pit stop for actors who are on their way to becoming a series regular. We highlighted five former guest stars who’d moved on to other shows last year, and now we’ve accumulated another five.

  1. Olivia Munn – This season’s first GRETA is a regular in the new NBC sitcom, Perfect Couples, which premiered last night.
  2. Diedrich Bader – After playing a villain in episode 3.09, Bader went on to co-star in NBC’s Outsourced.
  3. Summer Glau – Another GRETA, another NBC star! Glau followed up her reunion with Adam Baldwin by starring in Chuck‘s new Monday companion, The Cape.
  4. Swoosie Kurtz – Half of the spy couple Chuck & Sarah don’t want to be, Kurtz guest starred in episode 3.16 before moving on to the new CBS’ sitcom Mike & Molly.
  5. Tricia Helfer – She tried to split up Chuck & Sarah as a spy team back in season 2, then co-starred in the second season of TNT’s gritty crime drama Dark Blue.

That list doesn’t include the actors who have projects in development, like Isaiah Mustafa. Not too shabby, huh?

  1. Don’t forget Kyle Bornheimer on Perfect Couples – Hunter Perry in Chuck vs. the Final exam.

  2. Munn, Bader, and Glau will all be available to launch a new show again next year as well.

  3. Just saw somewhere that Michael Clarke Duncan has been signed for something or other. (Not exactly precision in reporting, I know, but it’s not on his IMDb page yet.) 😉

  4. Don’t forget Matt Bommer on White Collar!! Our dear Brice Larkin!!

  5. That guy who’s playing as William Shatner’s son in that crappy show was the unbalanced asset Laszlo in Season 1.

  6. Don’t forget that Olivia Munn is now a regular contributor to the The Jon Stewart Show. 🙂
