Friday Five: Gifts Chuck & Sarah Can Use if Villains Crash Their Wedding.

Chuck and Sarah are engaged, so of course now it’s time to plan the wedding! Ellie plans to keep us in the loop with ChuckAndSarahWedding.com (watch for the Save the Date invitation!), but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating about the wedding. I was planning to write something about possible locations or themes for the wedding, then kon and starsaber started chatting in the comments here (warning: spoilers) about needing to have weapons on hand, just in case. Genius! So here are five wedding gifts Chuck & Sarah should register for, just to be sure they have weapons on hand should villains crash the wedding.

  1. Ginsu Knives – We saw how these came in handy at Ellie and Devon’s (first) wedding, so let’s just assume they’re a required gift at every spy wedding.
  2. Feistaware Place Settings – Not only do these settings come in a variety of cheerful colors to match the decor at Chez Bartowski, they’re nice, thick pottery that will surely do damage when thrown at approaching henchmen.
  3. Bar Set – Zester, ice tongs, citrus knife, tweezers…seems like Team Bartowski could do some damage with those items, then celebrate victory with a nice cocktail.
  4. Marble Rolling Pin – This seems like the ideal weapon for, say, Morgan to conk someone on the head with, then walk off nonchalantly.
  5. Vacuum Sweeper – Can’t you just picture Casey whirling one of these around and letting it fly like a discus? That should take out 5 or 6 baddies at once.

These are all quite domestic gifts, the norm for weddings, but given the variety of people Chuck and Sarah know, what other gifts might be in the mix that would be useful?

  1. 6) a Big Cast Iron Frying Pan, so Ellie could deliver a bad guy a blow like she did Casey.

    • I’m reminded of a quote by Anthony Bourdain, where he said that if you have any doubts as to which of the pan or skull will be dented, then the pan should be thrown in the trash. 🙂

On another note… I never thought that comment would be taken so seriously. 😛

    • Well we all know that Flynn Ryder even commented that he “needed to get me one of these” referring to the frying pan – so even Chuck could get a whack or two in as well. Not so finesse as a tranq pistol, but works in a pinch!!

  2. The vacuum sweeper should be a roomba as they have been mercilessly pushed through inconspicuous placement for several seasons now.

  3. Haha love it!!!(:

  4. If they smell trouble coming, instead of defending themselves with household appliances, why don’t they just register at a firearms dealer? A nice Smith and Wesson for Sarah, and a nifty monogrammed tranq gun for Chuck. Should keep the rowdier guests in line.

    • Well, you know Sarah, she’s uncomfortable with bringing guns on special occasions like first (real) dates and weddings…

  5. I know I said this earlier but what about big mike and bolonias wedding?

  6. Are they registered at the Spy Shop in the Buy More Plaza? (Rewatch Chuck vs the Wookie if you don’t get the reference) 😉

  7. I vote for the ol’ cast iron frying pan… we’ve seen that work.

  8. What about a box of those wooden wiener sticks they used at the Wienerlicious. They made pretty good weapons when she fought Casey in Helicopter.

  9. I vote for the Cone of Silence…..oops wrong show.Mel…. Are the wedding pictures from
” Suburbs ” in the Gallery? Love to see them again.

  10. Fireplace set: you have a poker, a screen to protect yourself from flying objects, and a shovel to clean up afterwards

  11. Speaking of the bar set, I imagine it would be Casey that gave them that. He has so much practice as a bartender I’m sure he knows exactly what brand to get, so they will have the highest quality materials for making Carmichael’s favourite – the Martini – shaken not stirred.

  12. Beastmaster or microwave oven for Casey to use
    Knives for Sarah to use
i also think Chuck should use Frying pans that elle got them as wedding gift

  13. all sarah needs is the belly dancer outfit and the villains will be frozen like chuck was so sarah can just finish them off with the cutlery set.

  14. How about a box of office supplies. It would have an economy pack of pencils with manual sharpener for Sarah and all the string, sticky notes, tape and various things Chuck would need to make a wall plan to take out the villains.

  15. Whatever Casey is going to get them.

  16. If Big Mike gives them a marlin for their wall, the snout is a weapon in itself.

  17. There won’t be any gifts. Wouldn’t surprise me if the have some sort of wedding while on a mission like in The African Queen. Of course, they’d have to do it again for family. That way, Chuck would have two weddings (one a disaster) just like Ellie.

  18. Definitely agree on adding the frying pan to the list! It worked for Ellie, and for Flynn and Rapunzel..
