I am overjoyed. You’d think that NBC would use these polls (this is not the first such victory) as a promotional device, but their promo department is the gang that couldn’t shoot straight, so I don’t hold out much hope.
Although it’s great to be victorious, I can’t honestly call Chuck “the most incredible, era-defining series on television.” :p
Perhaps it’s era-defining in the way it embraces the tech-savvy world of today, though.
If nothing else, it certainly is era-defining from a business-model standpoint. This is the show that defied Nielsen. The Subway campaign from two springs ago was the shot heard round the advertising world. The advertisers now know the power of the internet, Tivo, Hulu, etc in terms of delivering viewers. This is a generational watershed moment.
Hopefully it has some sort of effect on viewers.

Wouldn’t that be grand if NBC DID take into account all these polls that Chuck has been winning and give us a Season 5.
How refreshing would that be if we got a full 22 episode season from the start so that the writers can plan ahead and map out a full season (like season 2) where they are able to showcase the talents of this wonderful cast and crew and make them shine (again like season 2).
