Tonight on Chuck: “Chuck vs. the Bearded Bandit”

Happy (belated) Halloween! This week on Chuck, it’s time for Carmichael Industries to pitch to potential clients and get some cash flowing. Unfortunately, Verbanski Corp is way ahead of them. Carrie-Ann Moss begins her multi-episode guest arc tonight, plus Sarah goes rock climbing and Morgan needs a dictionary.

Chuck ASSUMES THE ROLE OF Morgan’S HANDLER, AS CARMICHAEL INDUSTRIES FACES NEW BUSINESS COMPETITION—CARRIE-ANNE MOSS (“THE MATRIX”) GUEST STARS AS ‘GERTRUDE VERBANSKI’—JEFF FAHEY AND JUSTIN HARTLEY ALSO GUEST STAR—As the team takes on a missing persons case, Chuck and company struggle to establish themselves as Carmichael Industries in the face of a rival security firm led by the tough and efficient Gertrude Verbanski (guest star Carrie-Anne Moss). Meanwhile, Morgan continues to adjust to the Intersect while Chuck adjusts to being his handler. Also, the Buy More finds an unlikely spokesperson to help drum up business. Yvonne Strahovski, Adam Baldwin, Ryan McPartlin, Vik Sahay, Scott Krinsky and Mark Christopher Lawrence also star.

  1. Never realized how much I rely on the livechat to get instant “what is that referencing” feedback. Missed all y’all this evening!

  2. Thankfully, I liked this episode. After Zoom I was extremely worried about S5. Not so much any more. I’m still not liking most of the Morgansect stuff, but overall I enjoyed this episode. I give it a 6.5 to 7 out of 10. I just wish the feed from Detroit hadn’t cut out for a bit.

One minute Morgan was going on another food run and when the feed came back, Morgan and Chuck wer fighting bad guys.

Thankfully with satellite, I can watch the West Coast feed at 11 pm.

    • Gord, Liz and I just gave this episode the exact same rating. For once we’re on the same page!

    • I agree on the rating as well. Just wish their was a way the writers could have explained their money troubles in the beginning and made this episode the premiere, somehow tied in operation T.I.T.S. later in the season. I know it’s hypocritical of me to say that, since I am the one always “whining” (my wife’s words, not mine) about how they rush story lines, but with episodes being such a commodity now, I still think we could have done without Ep 1.
Great ending, best since Chuck vs. the Fear of Death, really looking forward to next week. Bravo LaFranc and Judkins (see Mel, I said something nice 😉 Only if Fedak could send me the first three Eps :-)!

  3. I am having to force myself to sit through these past two episodes. I apologize for the negative comments, but it’s just not that entertaining with Morgan as the intersect.

I will say that next week’s episode does look good and I hope the season picks up steam. I did enjoy how they integrated the Buy Morons and Captain Awsome (Love the name badge) in the comercial.

  4. Hi Guys!
Just checked nbc.com. Bearded Bandit not on website or hulu. In the past, was on
the following morning. Also not on itunes or amazon. Going through withdrawal!
Usually watch day after original airing! Any info? Thanks!

  5. I’ll give this episode a 5 out of 10, I guess I expected more from this episode. Once again Chuck and Sarah didn’t even came close to bein a fresh married couple (I mean did you see Sarah’s kiss in the park ? I mean c’mon girl !?) and the only real cool thing was Carrie-Anne Moss kicking ass (Skyscraper raids all the way). After the episode I felt somewhat sad for some reason 🙁 so far this season has been a dissapointment in my eyes but I hope the comming episodes will make up for that :).

  6. Hi there, i was wondreing if any of you guys are having problems watching the shows on nbc.com? it says that the video is not avalible in your area. please help… i am dying to watch some chuck again…please???
