  1. While I haven’t been a fan of Morgansect, I did enjoy the 2nd episode. I hope I share your same enthusiasm after I watch this episode. Because I want to love this final season, and I’m not so far 🙁

  2. I was disappointed in the first two episodes of Chuck. The third (Tips) was a treasure. PLEASE keep it up. Loved Morgans new wheels and Chucks and Sarahs show of affection for each other. Like old times.

  3. Well the only good thing I can say about Morgansect is that it looks like it is finally over. Maybe now we can get some really good episodes of Chuck.

While I liked tonight’s episode it was not as good as Bearded Bandit, but was much better than Zoom. S5 so far has been mediocre Chuck

The only thing that saved this episode was Casey. The Casey/Sarah/Gertrude scene at the beginning, the Casey/Alex scene, the Casey/Gertrude fight – who knew hand-to-hand combat could sizzle, and Casey kicking out his roommate at the end.

While it was great to see Beckman back, Morgan ruined that scene. Just like zoom, I found a lot of the humour didn’t work for me.

I hope we are going to get a return of S4 Morgan in the next episode. I liked S4 Morgan.

    • Thanks, Gord, I’ve appreciated your honest comments on S5 thus far. Personally, I think this was better than Bearded Bandit, but not by much. And, honestly, all three episodes thus far would rank among my least favourite from all seasons. I’m not a Morgan-hater. Indeed, I could see the comedic potential of putting the intersect in Morgan. Unfortunately, that has never been realised and clearly won’t be. Neither, really, has the dramatic potential. Perhaps that’s indicative of the problems with S5 thus far. It doesn’t seem to know where it’s really going and it’s forgotten where it’s been. For me, one of the great strengths of S1-S4 has been the characters and their interaction/relationships. That’s missing in any depth — especially, but not least, in regards to Chuck & Sarah. It was their chemistry, more than anything, that made this a wonderful show. It’s almost non-existent thus far. In the lead up I heard much said about the Casey/Verbanski dynamic, especially in their “erotic” fight scene. Frankly, boring! It stopped before it ever got really interesting. The characters this season are two-dimensional copies of the ones I grew to love. The plots have largely been predictable and, in particular, they have lacked anything really funny. Not the sort of funny of previous seasons. Lame is the best word I could find to describe it. The Buy More subplots have been appalling. After “Zoom”, I was hoping that the conspiracy plot was one that would develop and hold everything together and hold my interest. But I have to say, I’m finding it really annoying and, dare I say, insulting, that the writers seem to have forgotten or ignored what happened in “Cliffhanger”, specifically, Chuck’s threat to expose Decker & the CIA’s involvement in the Agent-X conspiracy. It’s like that never happened. I want to like this season and I want to hang in there to the end but I’m struggling.

    • I agree with you that S5 has been mediocre so far but after last night it’s getting better and better, the promo shows that morgansect is getting ditched too so my guess is that the next episodes will be awsome 🙂

  4. I’ve quite liked these new episodes. Some of the better 2nd and 3rd episodes of any season. Season 3 episode 2 wasnt that good in my opinion, but this seasons early episodes have their own story arc which is what i like to see.

One thing though….why does Casey still call Sarah, “Walker”??

  5. Joe, he hasnt married and changed his name, so why would she need to call him anything else? 😛

  6. Hi there, i was wondreing if any of you guys are having problems watching the shows on nbc.com? it says that the video is not avalible in your area. please help… i am dying to watch some chuck again…please???

    • The episodes aren’t available on NBC.com; we’re waiting to hear back from our sources on whether or not they’ll be online this season.

  7. I am enjoying ALL the episodes thus far. Give the show a chance to build. Missing Chuck on demand too. Figure its a contract online or on demand.between NBC to limit when the episodes would be avalible check itunes. You can buy it.
