Zachary Levi Returns to NBC in ‘Heroes Reborn’

Save Chuck, save the world!

OK, not quite, but I’m pretty excited at the news that Zachary Levi has signed on as the lead in Heroes Reborn, the upcoming 13 episode relaunch of Heroes.

We don’t know a lot about the storyline, except that it’s “new”, i.e. the only character returning from the original series is Noah Bennet, aka Hornrim Glasses. Even Zac’s role is being kept top secret:

“We’re still keeping Zac’s role under wraps because everything is shrouded in mystery for this miniseries, but we’re very excited he’s been cast,” NBC boss Bob Greenblatt told reporters at the winter TCA’s.

Zac told TVLine:

“There are a few franchises I’ve always wanted to be a part of, and Heroes is one of them. Chuck gave me the opportunity to wield some fun powers, but an entire world with superpowers is a world I’ve always wanted to explore.

“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with Tim [Kring], and the awesome team around him, in bringing this to life,” he adds. “Moreover, to be working with NBC again is such a reward in itself, as my bonds and relationships there are deep.”

Additional cast members will be announced over the next few weeks, which may shed some light on the storyline/Zac’s role.

In the meantime, which superpower do you think Zac’s character will have?

  1. I never watched heroes but will definitely check it out with Zac being in it.
Whatever his superpower, wouldn’t it be interesting to see him play a villain?
He seems like such a nice guy in real life, I think it would be fun to see.

  2. This Is Soo Awesome I Can’t Wait 🙂

  3. Now we need them to get to work on a Chuck reboot if NBC is going bring back Heros which struggled in the ratings why not Chuck too
