We’re back with another round of answers to your Chuck fashion questions! This week we have wardrobe pieces seen on one of the show’s season 3 love triangles: Hannah, Chuck and Sarah.
She may not be your favorite guest star, but you have to admit that Kristin Kreuk’s Hannah was one sharp-dressed Nerd Herder. Chuck fan Erica wondered where she could get the skirt Hannah used to update her uniform, so Chuck costume designer Robin Lewis-West checked the archives for her. The black skirt is by BCBG and while the exact style is no longer available, this BCBGeneration skirt is pretty close.
Sarah Walker Fan Girl Kris has been wondering where to find the quilted jacket Sarah wears in “Chuck vs. Phase Three”, presumably to complete her Halloween costume (you got the boots, right?). Robin informs us that it’s by Armani Exchange. That exact style isn’t showing up in my searches, but this AX Quilted Moto Jacket is awfully close and available for a reasonable price.
Although Sarah was off on her undercover mission, Chuck was upbeat after the mission in “Chuck vs. the Gobbler” thanks to Morgan and Casey hanging with him afterward. Dan wondered about the polo shirt he wore during this scene; Robin tells us it’s by Band of Outsiders.

I would also like to know what process the wardrobe department goes through in deciding what clothes the characters are going to wear in a particular episode/scene. I know this has been discussed on Chuck Vs the Podcast before and I found it very interesting. It would be great if Robin could add that detail on a regular basis.
Kreuk may have looked snazzy as a Nerd-Herder (or as Jeff says, one of Chuck’s stable of ho’s), but I remember when Yvonne donned the uniform (2.05 “Tom Sawyer”), and there’s no contest! Strahovski by a knock-out.

I still think that NBC is missing the boat not doing this themselves. We have discussed product placement previously. What could be more “placement” than clothes. They need a section on their site to let us know what the characters were wearing, and where its available.
It seems to go without saying that there could be some revenue in this from fees to clothing companies.

Not a burning question,
but does the costume department alter Chuck’s jackets? (Not the suit jackets.) Zach is tall and lanky, but they always fit so well on him. Or do they use off-the-rack tall sizes?
(Or maybe Zach just has perfect model measurements!)

Thanks to her I got caught up on season 1 & 2 before season 3 premiered and I just got hooked.

But yeah… Chuck and friends always have cool clothes on. In fact I’ve been wanting to get my hands on the sweater jacket chuck was wearing when he was about to propose to Sarah before she got arrested.
