Ratings: “Chuck vs. the A-Team”

The early ratings numbers are in and and anticipated, Chuck’s ratings dipped slightly to 1.6 in the 18 – 49 demo, 5.27 million viewers. That’s only 1 tenth of a point compared to House’s 8% fall from last week’s episode. Daylight Savings Time usually has an effect, so this is nothing to worry about. Chuck still fared better than most in the same time slot!

  1. I am definitely going to reward tv to get counted today! Hope everyone on here does that too. At this point I am just hoping for a 13 episode season 5. Unleash the Casey today people!!

    • Actually, let’s get a 22 ep season 5 so it can get syndicated. If Chuck can go to some cable channel with all the reruns, marathons, etc. I can’t help believe it will gain immense popularity.

      • Chuck is close enough it will find syndication whether it is 13 or 22 episodes. A 100-episode block is nice, but some shows are landing in syndication with fewer these days.

  2. Cool!

Not too much of a dip is good news!

Though in my mind, I expect Season 4 to be the last. If we have a Season 5, good! If not, I will have enjoy the ride.

And I enjoyed last night’s episode, even if some “fans” are not happy with the way the episode played, or that it didn’t fit their expectations…people, just enjoy the show for what it is, stop nitpicking at everything! Who really cares if there are some discrepancies, or “vacuums’?

“Chuck” is a good show, I’m entertained by it, and it’s all that really matters, isn’t it? 😉

Things don’t look good for Chuck with the ratings continuing to fall, NBC doesnt care how a program on another network is doing (House, Fox) if Chuck continues to fall its not getting picked up. I’m going to enjoy every last minute of Chuck and hope the gods are pleased enough to renew

      • Chuck is still doing well compared to other NBC shows, so don’t get too down. The tiny drop up against DST is a good sign, especially coming back from a 2 week hiatus. Still, don’t forget to head over to Reward TV and be counted!

      • Thanks again Mel, for being the voice of sound reasoning.
I did go to Reward TV to be counted, although I got all the commercial questions incorrect, but I nailed the Chuck questions!

  3. I went to Reward TV early Tuesday morning and did not see Chuck listed. I first tried late monday and was not listed

  4. Chuck was not listed two weeks ago when I went to Reward TV for it just curiouse why Mel or Liz

  5. I feel ambivalent about this. On the one hand, a 1.6 in the 18-49 demo is horrible (with a 1.5 in the second half hour) and 4.92 million viewers in the finals is bad. But on the other hand, I’m happy the show didn’t get clobbered with the DST, as the drop wasn’t had HUGE as last year. Perhaps the week off helped In building awareness of the change unlike last time where the savings caught me by surprise and had me panicking for 2 weeks.

Hopefully we can recover lost ground next week before the awful hiatus we are headed. At a 1.6 I’m not convinced that we’re safe, so I would stop using possibility as a word and should say to remain optimistic and hope for the uptick to come.
